Goff is far more accomplished than Dalton, in a short time frame. The meatball coach is at least entertaining, until he decides to run some stupid end around play on 3rd and one I will reserve judgment. It's not as if Nagy has been some super genius at play calling, clock management, half time adjustments, or tailoring and offense to his players strength, now has he? Campbell can meatball all he wants if he just allows his OC and DC to do their jobs.

Goff is going to fuck you guys two fold. He isn't good enough to build a team around but he is good enough with a good OL to win some meaningless games and fuck up your draft positioning. Basically what Trubisky tried to do to the Bears this year. You just better hope you are close to the top or a QB falls so that you aren't suffering in mediocrity for another decade or two.

You laugh, but with Jenkins yet to practice in pads, and Borom also missing time, your week 1 OL might be the worst in the league.

Let's assume this is true. If Fields is the real deal then it won't really matter. We would have found our franchise QB and this year will just be getting him acclimated to the NFL and we can retool the OL next year.

Lions will continue to suffer for the next decade or two no matter who is behind center

I am not with the political stuff but to pretend that trump isn't a sociopathic criminal who was a mob informant back in the 80s is called bring misinformed.

As a new Yorker for a long time, we know all about trump
Lol sounds like a new Yorker thing to say. You guys think you can get the fuck out of our state(Florida) ?

Never

Never judge another mans struggles. White people are 4x more likely to commit suicide than any other race in this country. They face challenges in their community too
If I was a racist CAC I'd kill myself too.

I guess you forget the Lions have 2 1sts in the next two drafts, plenty of draft capital to move up if they want. And I see you have come around to finally admitting the Lions have a better OL than the Bears. In a perfect world, Goff looks good enough to unload to some fool GM in desperate need of a QB, without taking too much of a cap hit.

So two more 1st rounders to fuck up? Sounds about right

Despite as impressive as Fields might have been so far, it is with the D not allowing to hit the QB, and the play allowing to continue despite what would be an obvious sack situation. Couple that with exactly who are the Bears CB's when he is on the field? I liked Fields, thought he was the second best QB in the draft, but you guys are getting way ahead of yourselves here.
What part of his attitude and mannerisms lead you to believe he will be a hands off type of HC? No chance of that happening…

The question is what sort of caliber QB will be available and whether a team will be willing to trade down if they have their own QB needs. You better hope the teams ahead of you already have QBs they like.

I never claimed the Lions did not have a better line. I said it is unknown how much better until they play. Two different things.

Still 5 weeks out until week 1. I think Borom, Jenkins, Daniels will be fine by then.
You got a Lt that has played a very limited amount of snaps at the position in college, and it doesn't look like he will even suit up in the first of three preseason games. meanwhile a 5th round pick that needs all the time he can muster to be ready week 1. I have no doubt they will both see playing time this year, but it cannot be denied they are missing valuable time.

Except I was 100% right about the Bears trading with the Giants to get Fields.

You were wrong about Trubisky and you were caping for Wilson all offseason. You simply are trying to pretend that if Wilson fails, it won't be because you got QB wrong again but because of the Jets.

Like your takes here are so delusional. Again you were dick riding Wilson all offseason but once the Bears got Fields suddenly he is the most accurate and physically gifted QB ever. You change stories faster than Liz Taylor changed husbands.

I'm happy that me and @msadows can finally be happy about the same QB and all but this is spot on and basically what i've been saying.

Even when he claimed he was out on Mitch, he really wasn't and you could tell by the way he posted about Mitch and the offense in general. But yeah, his flip flopping is probably the biggest issue. I've called him out on it multiple times. He was all in on Wilson since the hype train started and it only took a couple bad practices to claim he's ruined? LMAO ok... Lawrence is generation. Wilson is generational. Fields is generational. Pick a lane.

I was one of the first people on this board to suggest going after Dalton and he lit me up with shit talk about how Mitch is better and yadda yadda yadda. Fast forward to today and its a completely different tune. Flip flop, flip flop. Amazing what a change in jersey colors can do.

He said Mitch was gonna get a long term deal. WRONG.
He said Mitch was gonna get a short term bridge deal. WRONG.
He said Mitch was gonna get a starting QB job once FA hit. WROOOOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG!
But he's always right. Take virtually every stance imaginable. You're bound to be right.

Nagy ruined Mitch yet somehow Nagy wont ruin Fields while Wilson is already ruined. I cant keep up.

the assistants he hired speak volumes to that, I think your wrong. time will tell. And for the record, he did spend time as an interim HC, so he has more experience than Nagy did coming in.
