There is no way in hell the SF 49ers select Jonathan Allen. And his reasoning for SF not taking a QB is partly due to no QB being worthy of such a high pick. And then the very next pick, he's got the Bears taking a QB. LOL. He is either implying that the Bears are morons or just talking out of his ass.

. He is either implying that the Bears are morons, " there was your answer"

If the Bears drafted either of those players they likely have a Lombardi trophy in house from 2018.
I don’t think so, the league already had Nagy figured out. Trestman was a hack too, but if he had the 2018 D I belive they wIn SB. Nagy wasn’t even a one hit wonder

If Nagy has Mahomes or Watson, bears are in exact same position

Weak sauce. People need to stop with this. Watson had one of the most cancerous coaches you can have in Houston and he still thrived. Then that coach got fired (in season) and they traded away DeAndre Hopkins - his “go to” receiver and possibly the best receiver in the game... and Watson is still thriving and is putting up an MVP caliber year.

Mahomes would surely do the same.

Elite guys find ways to play elite regardless of boneheaded coaches. Their talent is the differentiator.

I here what you're saying but an exceptional QB can cover up alot of deficiencies. In the 2nd half of 2018 the league figured out Mitch and his limitations. Pairing Watson or Mahomes with that defense is at the very least a trip to the NFC Title game.

yeah because Mitch is just as good as those guys

Why keep this dumb ass comment of your confined

If Nagy had any qb in the history of the league the bears would be in the exact same position

because

Every single qb in the history of the game would do every single thing the exact same way Mitch did

therefore the Bears would be in the exact same position .

That seems reasonable. I known my disdain for Nagy clouds my judgement and that there is a significant difference in the talent level, but I believe Nagy is that bad.

So if the Bears keep Pace & Nagy... trade every pick for someone good & don't even both drafting? Try not to get in cap-hell & see if it works out better than all the draft busts...

The thing I like about these kinds of threads is that they lay bare the hindsight 20/20 stuff and show what the atmosphere was **really** like at the time.

Trubisky was the wrong pick. We can say that now. He didn't work out. That's O.K. to say.

But at the same time, I look back and don't see a lot of people pounding the table for Watson or Mahomes (who??). I see more mention of Kizer in threads like this. And I don't see people instantly claiming Trubisky is going to be a bust, or that he'd be way overdrafted at #3.

If that’s the case then why is Pace still here? Two top level QBs who are successful else where but wouldn’t succeed in Chicago? That’s tells us a lot about how the GM has put together this team. BTW the Texans org hasn’t done a great job, that’s why GM\HC Bill O’Brien was canned.

Mahomes literally might end up being the best quarterback of all time. Can we at least agree that he's easily on a trajectory to be a surefire first-ballot multi-Super Bowl Hall of Famer?

Guys like that rise above. Guys like that make other people look good, not the other way around.

All these leaks of who likes who are hilarious. No team will ever reveal who they truly covet in fear of being jumped over by another team. The Bears want Kizer, as do all the other teams at the top of the draft.

For example, it is now being "reported" that the Arizona Cardinals are after Deshaun Watson. This is beyond Comical. Arians wants a QB that stands strong in the pocket after a 5-7 step drop and launches the ball downfield. Not only that, Kizer has actually been compared to a young Carson Palmer.

Make no mistake, Arians wants Kizer and these "reports" are just an attempt to hopefully get Kizer to fall to them.
lol
