I can’t honestly believe than anyone can watch Mahomes and not think he’d be brilliant in any team under any coach. That talent is undeniable, and almost unstoppable. You can probably say the same for Watson, but there is no argument in relation to Mahomes, he is a generational talent.

He’d have made Nagy look like a genius.

its the QB who makes everyone else look good.

The thing I like about these kinds of threads is that they lay bare the hindsight 20/20 stuff and show what the atmosphere was **really** like at the time.

Trubisky was the wrong pick. We can say that now. He didn't work out. That's O.K. to say.

But at the same time, I look back and don't see a lot of people pounding the table for Watson or Mahomes (who??). I see more mention of Kizer in threads like this. And I don't see people instantly claiming Trubisky is going to be a bust, or that he'd be way overdrafted at #3.
Yet, everyone will shit on Ryan Pace and act like he went way out and picked an unknown talent. Yes, Pace picked the wrong guy, it happens. When you look at this team there is a lot of talent. Obviously they need to fix the Offensive Tackles and the QB. If they upgrade or were able to develop over the last 3 years the LT, RT, and QB then this is a Super Bowl caliper roster. When you look at what Pace had to work with when he took over bottom 30 O and Bottom 30 D, he actually did a great job injecting talent. His biggest miss was hiring Nagy, who Andy Reid said was the best HC candidate that every worked for him.
