I really wanted a beer yesterday and today, but I'm fine. Also brett is being super annoying about people that dont like trump but I'm managing to just let it go. I stopped reading ommy's posts in B&I altogether.

A friend of mine gave up soda for a month on a dare from his wife.
He did, and said the first one he had after the month was over burned his tongue and almost made his heart leap out of his chest.
Said he had no idea how crazy sweet it was until he walked away from it.

Giving up alcohol. For most of lent.

We have an out of town wedding to attend the weekend before Easter, and I am giving up alcohol until April 10th. That will have to do.

I also am doing a few positive things every day that I am not doing daily today (I'll refrain from disclosing), not just abstaining.

Edit: I think I will attempt to do as HHM is doing, and refrain from responding to a couple people.

When I was a kid though, my poison was Dr. Pepper. Fountain was preferred over bottled or canned.
Now i couldnt finish a 12 ounce can if I tried.

I used to drink canned Mountain Dew like it was going out of style as a kid. Now, I can't even touch pop. Sounds and tastes disgusting. Pretty much stick to coffee/water/beer/whiskey nowadays.
