My cousin lost his leg and my nephew broke his back and was in traction 6 months. But I did ride a moped in Bermuda. Does that count?

It counts for me if you are putting your knees in the breeze on two wheels then its all good. You ride the machine that fits your need. There are a lot of riders who get snobbish about motorcycles and look down on those that ride something different. I have found that the biggest snobs ended up being Harley owners though.

My buddy lost his leg at age 17 back in 09. Still kept his knee though. He hit a tree a few blocks away from me. I remember seeing the leg when it was still on and it was so big from swelling it was horrible. Bikes arent for me. Used to ride my brothers moped when I was like 12. Crashed that baby into a garage once lmao

yeah its ironic that what was once the bad boy bike is now the go to bike for the middle to upper class.

Because they're so god damned expensive.

Granted, I want to get a Triumph. I've always wanted a two tone Bonneville; my Uncle had one when I was a kid. Since my Uncle was a Army Huey pilot who'd take me down to the hangers every once in a while, had a sweet motorcycle and bow hunted, he was basically the coolest human being on the planet to a 10 year old kid.

I gotta say, I use to love riding every free minute I had. Before work, after work, and on my days off. I've had a low speed high side and a few close calls that puckered my b-hole something fierce, but none of that really waned my enjoyment for riding.

However, currently right now I just have too many hobbies and a lot less free time so I don't ride so much at all. It's kind of inconvenient really, lol. Also, bikes need a lot more attention than 'plug and chug' cars.

I knew a guy that had a 67 Bonne..It was 2 toned metallic green and silver..He would go to this bar after work every day around 6pm. He got drunk and picked up some chick. They took off on the Bonne, and 2 blocks later turned in front of a truck..He was killed, and she was never right after that

Huey pilot=COOL

Flying a helicopter was always something I wanted to learn and never did

I have no idea what year it was, I remember he had it shipped back to Ft Lewis in a crate from Germany. Never saw it back in one piece again, his twins were born right around then so no more motorcycle for him. It blew my little kid mind that you could basically take a motorcycle apart, stick it in a wood crate and ship it across 2 continents and an ocean.

EDIT: His was blue and ivory.

This is my bike. My dad and I restored his '73 Triumph around 10 years ago, so I was always around these type of bikes. Picked this one up last year and I did a little modifying. Loud as hell, too. Couldn't be more proud of the work I've done to it and how much fun it is to ride.

Fuckin' SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET

I love anything old and restored...I even restored a Coleman cooler once...lol

I restored my fathers old battery charger from his gas station..He bought it in 47..Its sitting in my garage as we speak

I also did a 56 Mercury..The Coleman Cooler was painted to match the Merc and went with the car when I sold it to some guy in Downers Grove..It's since been sold again I think

Here is the Merc...It won best in Show at the Lowes Motor Speedway (formerly Charlotte Motor Speedway) in 2002...Thats the track owner Humpy Wheeler in the pic with their mascot "Lug-nut" next to me

I'd love to get something like that. I'll probably end up buying something next year, but, it'll be used and cheap. I haven't ridden a motorcycle since I was a teenager (and those were dirt bikes).

Every time I want to get one, something comes up.

Something is ALWAYS gonna come up, go get one if you really want one.

Growing up, all my dad talked about was how he had a bike way back when, and how much he wanted another one. He finally, after all these years just bought a bike 2 months ago, at age 61.
