One of his brother’s is the guy who played Eric Northman on True Blood and Tarzan. The other brother is the clown from IT.

The old man (Stellan) has been in tons of shit too.

So... Delores is the fucking terminator now?

I get that the hosts are synthetic.... but don't they still operate on mostly human biology?

So if you get shot and start bleeding.... you will die?

Or if you get shot and your organs are destroyed.... you die?

I thought this was the case and the park staff simply took the corpses, repaired with synthetic materials, and then revived the host.

But on this note, they have been reviving hosts they "kill" without repairing them....

And what’s with the ATV BS...
Armor with crew serves and helo gunships... napalm, etc...
why lose a single man?
They are way past lawsuits...
Put them all down hard.

Big stoopid mercenaries are STOOOOOPID.

Lol I like the red painted P90s.... and professional mercenaries walking in a pseudo 19th century skirmisher formation right at a line of hosts with rifles and cannons.

No professional soldier is that dumb lol

I figured it was in their programming to shut down and play dead when when they get what would be a lethal gun shot. The hosts would get repaired before going back into the park to function normally and not look shot up.

The battle was stupid, very disappointing, so far S1>S2, by a lot.

That might be the case and my perception was wrong.

I guess I just imagined if you build a human android that functions with the same limbs.... same sexual organs.... presumably same vital organs.... they bleed, they breathe.... we bleed and breathe for a reason.... every part of our system has a purpose to let you walk and talk.... consume and expend energy.... I presumed the hosts had similar systems, but they were just easier to repair because their parts are synthetic and there is no concern of brain-death because their mind is not organic, it is backed up on synthetic hardware.... so you can just reboot them when the body is repaired.

Now start asking yourself how zombies function lol...

Now we are seeing more of the past story I’m thinking my theory Ford is still alive either in robot form or human is true. Good episode but the preview for next episode looks lame

I think Ford is alive either in a system or in a host.

I think the chaos he unleashed is an event intended to gather data he needs to complete the human to host project.

I think Abernathy might be gathering the data from the park hosts and people he comes into contact with.

I think Ford wants to live forever and sell the ability.

I think Arnold is alive in a system or host and has been trying to stop Ford from completing his project.

I also think it is possible we will find out the whole thing, parks and staff, are all hosts of one sort or another.

This some Altered Carbon ish up in here...

The timelines are trippy though, hard to follow at times, but it keeps you interested.

To be clear for Warden... the story with human xfer to other bodies is like Altered Carbon.... not the acting quality.

Westworld has decent acting quality.

It seems like Ford is living on through multiples AIs, or AIs could be pre-programmed to interact with William in his journey. Either way, I don't think Ford is truly dead, likely has his consciousness uploaded or something along those lines.

I think Abernathy might be gathering the data from the park hosts and people he comes into contact with.
Or hes just a "data mule", essentially.

Wasn't William the one who came up with the idea of utilizing behavioral data from people from a business standpoint? You might be right, idk if Ford is trying to make money off this though. But Ford trying to effectively achieve immortality makes sense.

I could definitely see Arnold being alive.

Interesting last point. You see in one of Bernard's flashbacks some of the workers who were killed by those...big white things(ok,they're Drone Hosts...). The workers seemed a bit off, like robotic to me.

I thought Abernathy was just housing the same code that was used in Delos Sr, and was suffering from the same glitches. Bernard said in this last episode, while in the lab, the only other time he had seen that code was in Peter.

Yeah I think Abernathy is housing the code to transfer people's consciousness or whatever. Not sure if he's glitching from just someone scrapping together stuff to make him move towards "the train" or if that code is actually running and screwing with his past identities.

I was thinking about this in the context of building human consciousness, which is the original idea behind the parks.

If you are going to build machines that act and learn like humans.... you need to do the programming of very advanced machine learning.... but then you need to put the machine in an environment where it actually learns and gathers data/experiences that form something resembling a human consciousness.... and as you do that you refine the physical and virtual container for that consciousness.... the brain.

In order to fund the work they exploited the park system... but with the basic hosts interacting with the guests.... staff hosts (assuming here) would be able to have more real human experiences.... between themselves and the guests/hosts.... one could argue putting hosts in a position as human controlling other hosts might be one of the best ways to have hosts who continue the process of being more and more human with less risk of them figuring out what they actually are.

It would be kinda like hiding the truth in plain sight.... convincing them they are human and the hosts are hosts.

Not sure it will turn out this way, but I would not be surprised to find out from hosts to park staff the entire thing was designed as an exploit by Arnold to create real artificial human consciousness and he, in a way, played on Ford's ambitions to create a place where it would happen.

That idea is basically exactly what Ford did with Bernard isn't it?

I cannot tell if Ford created Bernard for this purpose or if he just created him because he wanted some form of Arnold back.

Made me have another thought.... how come no one on the staff recognized Bernard as Arnold?

He walk around as someone in charge.... no one like "Hey didn't a host murder you?"

But Bernard could have been an early iteration of the idea....

I think Peter was just the envelope used to deliver/smuggle out the code. As I remember it, he was already supposed to have been in possession of those that wanted said code. Which kind of makes all the speculation about data mining, learning, etc, by Peter Abernathy rather mute. That wasn't his intended purpose. That being said, it could very well be that by uploading the code into him, something went awry, and that is now what he is in fact doing, conscientiously or not. I would not be surprised to see him evolve and become a major player.

On a side note, it almost seems as if the writers got too carried away with all the layers in an attempt to make this too complicated, ala Mr. Robot.
