I think Peter was just the envelope used to deliver/smuggle out the code. As I remember it, he was already supposed to have been in possession of those that wanted said code. Which kind of makes all the speculation about data mining, learning, etc, by Peter Abernathy rather mute. That wasn't his intended purpose. That being said, it could very well be that by uploading the code into him, something went awry, and that is now what he is in fact doing, conscientiously or not. I would not be surprised to see him evolve and become a major player.

On a side note, it almost seems as if the writers got too carried away with all the layers in an attempt to make this too complicated, ala Mr. Robot.

The show is starting to feel like Nolan's Dunkirk...

I don't have dementia, Nolan.... **** you!

I cannot tell if Ford created Bernard for this purpose or if he just created him because he wanted some form of Arnold back.

Made me have another thought.... how come no one on the staff recognized Bernard as Arnold?

He walk around as someone in charge.... no one like "Hey didn't a host murder you?"

But Bernard could have been an early iteration of the idea....

Probably both.

I know skipping around to different characters and timelines has its purpose, but it can really make it hard to follow what the underlying narratives are.

I've mentioned this guy before:

I enjoyed his GOT recaps and his WW stuff from S1, but in S2 it is required viewing for me. He posts his videos late in the week, like Friday, there are other youtubers that post recaps on Monday, but Alt Shift X is worth the wait.

Recap videos should be fun to catch minor details or clear up the finer points, not necessary to follow the story.

I'm now all caught up on this season. It seems the critics liked season 2 more than 1. So far, I think season 1 was quite a bit better. I thought the most recent episode was trash

I liked season 1 a lot more, but they're at a point in the plot where the onion layers have to be peeled over and over at a deeper level (in the past and present). With the overall premise and plot moving forward, I don't think the show is/was capable of continuing to be the type of narrative it had season 1.

I enjoy the overall idea of the show. It's fresh to an extent. I didn't expect it to end up where it's at with involving human consciousness transfer. I just assumed the host would become their own version of "human" and it would go from there.

The machine learning aspect to support the code/consciousness integration is a really cool concept.

Yeah. Delores used to be such a lovable thing. Now she’s a monster.

I mean, she isn't just Delores, she also has Wyatt in her, which is why she behaves the way she does.

Then she tried to make Teddy more Wyatt-like and it seems like it might be backfiring. She is losing the guy she(her Delores side, more specifically) had affection for.

I'm actually starting to like it more. Not sure where they could have went with it after last season tbh. Anybody watching Colony?
They didn't have anywhere else to go. I think by season end it'll be better with more explained.

S1 is still better but since E3 S2 is catching up. I still need things explained to me to know what the hell is going on.

Maeve's story line has been very confusing to me thus far

Can anyone understand why Maeve and her merry band had no choice but to go into Shogun land, to find an access hatch, so they could then go back to an area of Westworld to find her "daughter"... considering they started in the tunnels, under Westworld.

Wouldn't they all connect? For all the parks? And even if they didn't why wouldn't you just fucking find an access hatch to the proper tunnel network within Westworld rather than one in Shogun world?

More action in Shogun world than in the tunnels and Maeve had to put her Shogun mind tricks to work.
