Man - I wasn't high on LaHair coming into this season -- but he's looking pretty solid. Nice to see Stewart belt one out, too.

It is early but the strikeout rate LaHair has got to be concerning. The ball seemed to be carrying pretty well in St. Louis as well. There were several balls that seemed to just keep going judging by the way both Card and Cub OFs were playing the ball. However, LaHair does provide some left handed pop in the lineup for dirt cheap which is nice. It would be awesome if the guy turned out to be our Michael Morse.

Matt Stairs would be awesome as well. I am not sure LaHair will walk enough to make up for the strikeouts the way Stairs did, but this team could have three nice left handed sticks in the lineup by the end of the season if that happens.

DeJesus is getting on base like he's supposed to so that's a plus. I like leadoff guys who get on base.

So...weather, eh.

Going out and about. Could someone please post the Gameday link when it becomes available on MLB.com? Thanks.

At least we don't have to listen to him and Tim McCarver call the Cubs game. I can't think of a worse thing than having to listen to those two fawn over the Cardinals for 3 hours or so.
