Still don’t know why they kept Whitehair over James Daniels. Think it was because pace gave Whitehair a monster contact but fwir they just had to eat $14M in dead cap lol

Yes, Greg Olsen. What was the reasoning behind letting him go?

Mike Martz didn't use TEs other than as another blocker so they traded him because he wasn't a good enough blocker. Meanwhile he went onto become the first TE in NFL history with three straight 1,000 yard seasons.

And this is why you don't let coaches have personnel power based on scheme fit.

Yes,
I question whether Swift can hold up over the season and he sure doesn't break tackles. A power back like Montgomery who is also a team leader and motivator would be of great value to this team
Rojo is beginning to pick up the slack for power runs. He started off very well last year until his ankle injury. Probably won't get to Monty's level of play but those power formations with him work well enough. I'd like to see Rojo break some 20-30 yard runs.

financials had nothing to do with it. He took the same $$$ with the Lions. He did not want to be here, period.
Leonard Floyd just never got utilized right but had sone potential when positioned correctly. I also wish we had kept Montgomery but I know the financials of the deal were toug

Greg Olsen will always be the obvious one. Long after we're dead, football fans will LOL at how a coach gave away an all-pro TE because he didn't want to use him.

But for a Shanahan/McVay WC offense like this, I'll throw out Matt Slauson. Bears need a lot of help on the OL, and though I liked Bill fuckin Murray yesterday, I'm confident in nobody else on the starting 5, and I remembered having high expectations for Josh Sitton who wasn't good, and Slauson went on to San Diego and had a couple more good years because he fit their scheme.
