Same. Montgomery
Short memories here. Montgomery wouldn't be doing anything special here by any stretch. The Lions' line sure helps him out a lot. He's be an upgrade on Roshon but not a big one.

As more recent departures go, James Daniels is the obvious one I'd like to have back. Tashaun Gipson had a couple good years with SF after leaving here so I wish we could have gotten rid of Eddie Jackson at that time instead of him.

D Mont, James Daniels, Leonard Floyd

I'm content with what we got and replaced Roquan Smith with, though I do like him better.

Easily Roquan, because the fallout from that was trading for Claypool

Leonard Floyd just never got utilized right but had sone potential when positioned correctly. I also wish we had kept Montgomery but I know the financials of the deal were tough.
100%. Id go so far as to say that 90% of these deals are strictly because of financials. Bears for the most part take care of their people.

The honey bears
Why they Bears PR department has fielded a team of fat bottomed “Honey Bears” is only because of the family. Any other ownership group would turn it into something drool worthy.

He came back and played for the Cowboys for a couple years. Had a good couple years for sure. Bears had a run of bad o line picks. Couldn’t say Angelo didn’t try. Remember Williams? lol

I'll put a little older one out there that I wish the Bears had kept around for another contract even at his 4M$ asking cost.... Robbie Gould.

It was a total shit show at kicker for quite awhile after he left.

I just checked PFF ... they have James Daniels as the #1 rated guard through 5 games ... so I change my answer
