This guy sucks as usual such as....

"You can argue there’s little doubt Seattle, New England, Houston and Denver belong among the NFL’s elite and have earned an A or an A-. But are the Bears, New Orleans, Miami and Kansas City as good or better than the 1-1 49ers, Packers, Falcons and Ravens? And are the Bears definitely better than New Orleans and Kansas City?"

He's basically saying the Bears are a 2nd Tier team beneath the "elite" teams and they only earned a B+, meanwhile Houston has also had nailbiting wins agains the Chargers and Titans but they are elite. Not to mention how terrible the Patriots have been barely beating the Jets and Bills. The Bears easily deserve a better grade than the Patriots, New Orleans, Kansas City, and Houston just based on quality of competition.

He then goes on to give the offensive line a freaking B- and I had to stop reading... This guy is an idiot.

The Ravens look like a 9-7 team this year.

I would say Denver, Seattle, 49ers, and Packers are better than the Bears. Lions are still a dangerous team. Vikes too with AP.

At this time I would put the Bears at 5th in a tie with Houston and others. Lets see what the Bears look like week 12 before a brutal 4th quarter of play. Best thing about the Bears, like some other teams, they can still get a whole lot better.

I would agree that those 4 teams are the only ones clearly better than the Bears at this point. Who knows how it will go later in the season, but as of now I agree.

Seattle and Denver look real but that's about it right now. We're in the next tier until we all play a few more.

This. I would add the 9ers and Green Bay. But after those 4 teams, the NFL is wide open imo.

Jesus christ, the guy gets paid to be objective not be a fucking Bears homer. You're honestly telling me at this point right now you'd give the Bears a grade higher than B+? I call shenanigans on that.

Seattle looked great at home against the 49ers, not so much scoring 12 against Carolina. Seattle has always been great at home so I won't go overboard but I admit they and the Broncos look better than the Bears so far. If only two teams in the whole NFL deserve an A I guess you could say those are the two, but in reality the grades should be...

A+ = Denver, Seattle
A = BEARS, Houston, KC
A- = Saints, Miami, Patriots
B+ = Falcons, Packers, 49ers

The Ravens don't deserve to be mentioned just because they won the Superbowl, they won't make the playoffs and will be lucky to be 8-8.

It depends on how you are grading the team, if he thinks Houston and New England deserve better than a B+ than hell yes the Bears do too. You don't get to have a better grade based on how your team played in the past, have you payed attention to the Patriots??? He doesn't have to be a "homer" for the Bears but if you say the Bears have played worse than the Patriots you are a hater.

I might also give the Bears a B+ based on what I think they will be at the end of the year, but if I'm comparing our unbeaten team that has beaten two playoff caliber teams and given up only 1 sack against two top 10 defenses, to how Houston struggled to win and how sorry the Patriots have been. I say the Bears get an A.

Didn't the 9ers almost get blanked by the Hawks? I don't understand how a team that almost gets blanked by another team can be in the Top 5. Also, they got lucky when the refs messed up the GB game. I think the 9ers will suffer the Super Bowl hangover this year and plummet into an 8-8 team or worse. It has happened before.

I agree that the Patriots have looked like shit. But in my mind, I don't grade the Bears higher until they prove they can beat the Patriots, Texans, Packers, 49ers, etc. Everyone thought the Bears were great last year then they hit the buzz saw that was Houston and San Fran.

No, I don't think the Bears have played worse than the Patriots. What I think is the Bears have beaten (by a total of 5 points) two low level playoffs teams from a year ago. Am I super pumped with the changes I've seen, hell fucking yes, I'm a proud Cutler supporter and already love Tresman. But I want to see them beat a high caliber team. I think they will start 4-0. Weeks 5-9 are circled and will be huge tests. Those weeks there will tell me personally what type of team this is.

As a side note, I apologize for my apparent 'losing of cool' with my first post. It just seems like the overwhelming majority of this board hate Hub just because. Yes, he called out the Long pick in a nanosecond as a bad pick. But he also has repeatedly gone on record and said he was wrong about that, BEFORE Long even took a snap. He was on the Score the day after the draft and immediately ate crow.

So, for the time being, I for the most part agree with his assessments. Those other teams get passes because they have proved it before and the Bears, sadly, have not. BUT THEY WILL.

Bear Down.

What exactly do you mean by the other teams get passes because they've proved it before? You mean they've gone to the playoffs and won? I don't know if you've watched the Bears in the last few years but we've been one of the better teams in the league. Last year we were a 10 win team and only lost out on a playoff spot because of a tie-breaker. We went to the Super Bowl and an NFC Championship game within the last 10 years. What else have the other teams like Houston and the 49ers done in the last few years that the Bears haven't done?

And if I'm not mistaken Hub is grading the teams based on this season and not on what they have "proven before".

Don't go pulling that shit, I have watched the Bears religiously just like others on this board. And what I know is this. The Bears made the Superbowl in 2006, guess what, that's clsoer to being 10 years ago than not. That no longer applies to any rational thinking about this team. They made the NFC Championship game in 2010, that was a great year. That was also 3 years ago. Last year, the Bears won 10 games and missed out of the playoffs because of tie, bullshit. They started 7-1 and finished 3-5. They had ample chances to secure their spot, but they blew it, they lost to the Vikings and the Seahawks.

I won't give them a pass just because I'm a Bears fan. I hate the Packers, but until the Bears beat them, I will readily and willingly admit to anyone that listens that the Packers are the better team. And with that being said, the Bears will most likely have to fight for a wild card spot against the Saints, Seahawks, Falcons or 49ers. No easy task.

As far as the teams Hub mentioned.

The Texans and 49ers haven't done anything different than the Bears, if you're going back to 2006, which for some reason you are. What they have done is beaten good teams convincingly on a regular basis. The 49ers lost the Superbowl by 3 after being down by as much as 3 touchdowns. And on top of that it was arguably a non pass interference call that didn't help them win.

Denver and Seattle, no question, better than the Bears. If you don't think so, I think you're being foolish.

In my book, the Pats get the nod because of Tom Brady.

"I don't know if you've watched the Bears in the last few years but we've been one of the better teams in the league." In the regular season yes, I want more than to say at the end of the season, well that was fun thanks for ride.

And stop saying 'we', you're not on the Bears.
