Only a matter of time before Zambrano breaks the fish tanks.

That's a really ugly stadium too. It's fitting for Miami. Lol

Haha most likely. It's still fishy to me how they got the funding for that park and the big contracts they handed out this off-season.

Miami Marlins – $155 million
Miami-Dade County – $347 million
City of Miami – $13 million

Total Cost: $515 million

That's a lot of tax dollars at work.

I wouldn't mind a shift of tax dollars to fix up Wrigley Field, but honestly I would prefer they fix the potholes all over Chicago :p

This guy talked at length about that last year...
I'm sure it has some to do with the removal of PEDs in the game, but there has to be another reason why pitching has become more valuable in the game today.

There also is just an ebb and flow in the game that has gone. The past decade was an offensive friendly era and the pendulum is starting to swing back. Part of it is PEDs, but to think that pitchers weren't using and benefiting from them during the past 2 decades is crazy.

Teams may also be doing better at scouting, helping pitchers stay healthy and effective, and also shoring up defenses to better back up their pitchers. Steroids can't help you if you hit right into where they position guys.
