Say what you want about Miami. They are extremely limited in depth. But they are getting better. In fact, they are a much better team than the team the Bulls last saw a few weeks ago.

The Heat are damn scary.

They'll be scary in the playoffs when they'll get days off between games. Bibby may become the Rondo to their big 3.

Ronnie Price is an unrestricted FA after this season...anyone think we give him a look? Maybe make him the next Jazz-to-Bull?

I'm not so sure if the Bulls will. It all depends on what they start off in the offseason. They have like no money with the cap. What do they have? Like 4M or so. Also, it depends if they re-sign their players and if they will finish a trade for a SG (Major, Le, etc).

Price will come cheap tho and the 4M or whatever they have in cap, would probably be enough to sign him.

Also, he's a Jazz so he probably tops the Bulls list, lol.

Gotta keep in mind the Bulls have 3 guys coming off the books as well (Butler, Scal, Thomas)...so we'll still have some funds to throw around, unless the new CBA (which won't get finished before the season) cuts player salary significantly.

Watching the Dallas/Phx game, Nash has been fouled twice going to the hoop on an attempted reverse lay-up, and neither has been called...he doesn't show emotion often, but he's pissed.

Westbrook and Rose have very similar styles, though Rose is a bit better. I am on twitter right now arguing with a guy who played pro ball, thinks Westbrook would be better than Rose if he was in Chicago. I disagree, but its not like it doesn't make sense. As I stated, styles very similar.

Well its impossible to make an argument about how good a guy would be on a different team because fact is, theres absolutely no way of proving it. Maybe Rose could rack up 12 assists a game alongside arguably the best scorer in the NBA. Its hard to compare players when one guy is the first scoring option and passer to a guy whos the second scoring option and first passer.

Dan can compare rebounding #s but the surrounding players play a factor in it. Westbrook averages half an assist more but plays next to Durant and Rose missed his 2nd scoring option for a big part of the season, Noah as well. He says Westbrook is a better thief, but Rose has better block #s. He knocks Rose's shooting % yet Westbrook only shoots .006 better. Is that that significant? He fails to mention FT%, which Rose has been spectacular as of late. Westbrook also turns the ball over .5 more a game.

You could twist your arguments and skew the stats(which most sports based internet arguments are) but fact is you have to just watch these guys and see what theyve meant to their team. I watch a lot of Thunder games. Theyre one of the 6 or 7 teams i selected to watch on my league pass broadband. Westbrook is the 2nd most important player to his team and fact is, the Thunder would really struggle without him. But hes not their best player. Rose's squad is arguably more talented as a whole if you look at the whole, finished product. But if Rose went down theres no one that could put the Bulls on his back and win. The Thunder would always have the face of the franchise and best player...Kevin Durant.

Le Baturd was on the Waddle and Silvy show a moment ago and i just listened to him and Silvy debate this whole Rose-Westbrook thing. Both of these guys are just glorified fans. Neither made a good point.

Well, Durant is better than the both of them. So in my opinion, there is more pressure on Rose to perform, but then again, that defense is playing at a historic level. But as far as playing styles go, Westbrook and Rose play a lot alike...I think Rose is stronger, but speed and athleticism is about the same. Westbrook I believe has bigger hands which helps a lot going to the basket. The argument is not one I agree with...but I can see why the argument is made.

I agree. Very similar players so i can understand where its coming from. But when we're talking about MVPs, theres no argument.

I don't like the hate being thrown Westbrook's way by the media who try to bash Rose's MVP case.

As if Westbrook was some mediocre, starting player or something. It isn't so crazy to throw him right in the conversation with Paul and Deron Williams in terms of the best PG in the West this season. He is arguably a top 10 player in the NBA. Could you blame a franchise if they would want to start a franchise with a guy like Westbrook over a guy like Stoudemire or Carmelo? Or maybe even Blake Griffin? I don't think so. And those guys are perennial superstars or soon-to-be perennial superstars.

I personally believe Rose is clearly the better player over Westbrook but there is not a huge gap in any categories between those two players. Westbrook might even be slightly better in a couple of areas... I don't know though.

I do think Westbrook is slightly better is some categories but by a very slight margin. Ive seen Westbrook take games over late but not in the same fashion as Rose. I think Rose is way more of a go to guy late in games. In RWs defense, Rose being the best player on his team, hes bound to have more opportunities to close games. West certainly doesnt get the defensive attention that Rose does from opposing offenses because of surrounding talent. I mean, theres a whole lot that becomes a factor in comparing them but if you look at their strengths athletically, its easy to find the similarities.

IDK if i would put Westbrook in the NBAs top 10 but as far as PGs are concerned, hes up there.

Oh and i listened to Doug Thomas's podcast for the first time today when i was walking my dog... No disrespect to him but...Kind of a garbage podcast. Maybe i just have a history of disrespecting people with no credentials but it just sounds so basic to me. Sounds like the average ESPN watchers take on the NBA. Its cool you know what isolation means and that you have basketballrefference.com as your go to basketball stat sheet but i just dont hear anything out of the ordinary.

Im a hater.

His show is more of a thinking man's show...not at all saying you are not a thinking man...some very smart people get bored reading the WSJ. It is an acquired taste. I am assuming you mean Doug Thonus and not Doug Thomas, or maybe I have to listen to this other Doug you speak of. I stand corrected if that is the case...

Cetlics lose and Knicks come back strong to beat the Magic. Bobcats beat Bucks. Bobcats still aren't tanking yet.
