LOLuongo just got yanked against Anaheim after giving up 4 goals in the game's first 28 minutes. And tomorrow is his birthday.

Also, I think Burrows just left the game with injury.

[Update] Burrows is back.

Once the playoffs start, if he pulls that shit once- he wont see the crease again.

I'm assuming you got that from the StateStreetSports Twitter feed ... that's just a Chicago Sports blog without any insiders. Never seen those guys break any kind of news story.

This one is from ESPN Chicago's Sarah Spain, talking to ESPN Chicago's Jesse Rogers:
Hahahaha. Me: "Hey @ESPNChiHawks any truth to Winter Classic story?" Jesse: "Are you nuts? No."

Pens look pretty scary in the east. Crosby scoring at will and Malkin having a Hart trophy type of year. Good goaltending to back it up too.

I think they'll come out of the east.

I honestly don't think they'll get passed Philly in the 1st. I think Philly or Boston will represent the East. Feel free to call me f'ing crazy now.

Sharks with a power play in OT. Oh snap.

edit: going to a shootout.

Sharks win the shootout. Niemi stops Kopitar for the win.

LA and San Jose with 94 points. LA Has the tie breaker with 1 extra ROW (34 vs 33) Phoenix with 93 points and 34 ROW.

he wouldnt be shit without st louis

Is that what I said? I know that isn't what I said. You really need to gain some reading comprehension skills. You can throw around your smileys all you want, but they mean nothing when you are basically making up what you are talking about because it isn't something I have said before.

First off, when talking about St. Louis it was in comparison to Malkin and the MVP race. I said that St. Louis improves Stamkos' stats and helps make Stamkos run, where Malkin is the type of player that makes everyone around him better more so than Stamkos does. St. Louis is very underrated in my eyes and Mike Babcock seems to have the same idea in many ways. I said that Stamkos isn't the type of player to make things happen on his own and usually needs to find the soft spot in the ice and then be a complete snipe show. Did you see Stamkos' two goals last night? For those two goals, he probably controlled the puck for under 1 second before lighting up Thomas, nothing wrong with that at all but it does feed into what I have been saying about Stamkos and finding those soft areas. Stamkos is still an amazing player and easily a top 10 talent in the NHL.

Reading comprehension.

Well, while we have a few days of some serious downtime (and not that I'm trying to get you two back into a pissing contest), I think it's very important to note that while Stamkos is better this year than he was last year, his team was far worse this year than last year. As a top line center, to me, that's quite a knock against him.

HawkWriter got a job with the Tampa Bay Times

Steven Stamkos' 60th goal epitomizes camaraderie with Tampa Bay Lightning teammate Marty St. Louis - Tampa Bay Times

Stamkos' career took off in January 2009, when then-coach Rick Tocchet paired the rookie center with the right wing. St. Louis, 36, has said playing with Stamkos keeps him feeling young.

How appropriate, then, St. Louis got the primary assist as Stamkos, 22, became just the 20th NHL player to score 60 goals in a season.

"I couldn't have written a better script," Stamkos said. "Marty is a huge reason I've had the success I've had in the NHL."

What were the odds of the Oilers winning? The Blue Jackets had the best chance, correct?

Jackets had like a 48% chance or whatever it was.

Nothing going their way. So, it's not a total shock but I didn't expect the Oilers to win it.
