Points are points...whether they impress you or not.

And that AHL team beat Nash 4-0 the other nite...PHX the previous week

Yup. We can't talk about how much they need to win the game and then completely dismiss it when they do. Very happy they got the 2 points and on to the next one!

Sure you can. If they lost well, then they officially just suck. If they won, bravo you beat a team you should beat.

Well yes, you absolutely can do that. That was a poor choice of words on my part and I definitely should not have spoken on anyone else's behalf...

For me personally, I am happy they got the 2 points against a team that has beaten them twice this year previously, especially after tough losses in both Vancouver & Calgary, and the trading of a well-liked teammate (literally during pre-game). In the face of various forms of adversity this season, my opinion is that every Win would be something upon which this team could build. I would bet $ that's how the Leaders in the room are approaching it. From the post-game quotes of Toews and Keith, it sounds like they are.

They won all three periods last night too, which has been a challenge this year.

Can breath a little knowing that they beat a team they are supposed to beat. Want to see better powerplay efforts still but right now the 2 points is all that matters. Sucks we didn't get any help from around the league tonight.Great game Crawford.

And thre's the rub. It's too hard to seperate yourselves thia time of year. Every damn team in the West is going to play every remaining game like the Playoffs because essentially it is. All the Hawks can do is keep collecting points and hope for help so when game 82 rolls around we aren't holding our collective breath.

A much needed win. Now on to Dallas and the Coyotes. The game against the Yotes on Saturday will be the Hawks 3rd in 4 days. I'd be happy with 2 points from the weekend.

I know what you're saying but I don't think 2 points will be enough. And if it's ony 2 let them be in Phoenix where I'll be watching them.

BTW: Going 1-15 (1-6 against the worst PK in the league)on the PP ain't gonna cut the fucking mustard.

Maybe the Hawks should demote Kitchen to jock strap cleaner, and just give Haviland ALL of the special teams?

Why stop there, with all the heritage moves fading out... I think it's about time for another big splash... Savard again as head coach.

Something man. I swear I saw more player and puck movement in the first :30s of the Oilers PP than the Hawks had all night.

Seabrook has got to get off the #1 unit, he doesn't have the same foot speed or decision making skills as Campbell, a guy who was built to be on the PP. Plus having Keith and Campbell on the same unit is redundant, they're basically the same player. But the Hawks PP hasn't made sense for years so why start now? And yet they've somehow donkey dicked their way to the top of the leagure...

They won't stay there looking like they've looked lately. That's for damn sure.

Boy you got that right; I noticed the VERY same thing. They moved the puck nearly twice as fast as the Hawks did on their previous 4 or 5 PPs and looked like they were on a mission. Sharp, crisp passes; no hesitation on where the were going next with the puck...their last-rank PP made our "#1" PP unit look anemic by comparison....
