I've been suckered into buying the last few installments of this game.. won't be this time, until I see it at a friends.

The gameplay has been the exact same in every game. Play the first game and you've played them all.

Same thing for me. BUT. I have borrowed each game from friends and ended up playing multiple multiple hours of the game. Yes I will agree the gameplay is always the same, but where the AC Series gets you is the story, and the history. Which is why I will be buying AC3. This game's story will be outstanding and almost helps people look deeper into the revolutionary times. Minus the twists in history obviously.

The narrator in this trailer is a spoiler from Revelations, in case anyone hasn't finished that game yet.

I preordered it. Love the series. Gameplay is very similar in all, yes, but I am always intrigued by the story.

Spoilers are a plenty if you haven't played the games.

I wish they would just fucking give us all the missions, instead of goddamn having to pick and choose which one to preorder. Fucking ridiculous.

Agreed. Why did they mess with the controls? I find myself going into muscle memory of the earlier AC releases, and getting fucked up when I try to counter. I'm slowly getting used to it, but why mess with a good thing?

The old parry/counter felt a helluva lot more fluid and intuitive. I hope I get used to the new system, because as of right now it is kinda blowing the experience of the game for me. They should've put in an option in AC III to use old-school controls.

Yeah these controls serious blow. Like you have to.time your counter KO or something. I dont even know. And like they dont even show you what each button does in combat on the screen like they used to

Yeah it's shitty. It's getting a little better as I go along, but not by much. Wish they would've just left em alone.

Love the new controls. Combat is actually difficult instead of having enemies circling you and taking on one at a time like its nothing. The slow motion when you parry an attack and proceed to unleash the beast on the enemy is awesome.

I don't find Connor to be that great of a character though so far.

I suppose I wouldn't mind the controls as much, but 3/4 of the time the camera angle is all fucked up and I can't see who's attacking or where the hell I need to move to.

Alright, so I just finished it. Do NOT click on the spoiler tag if you don't want the ending ruined.

Here comes the rant.
First off, the ending...huge WTF. So Desmond has a choice to make: Either he touches the sphere and saves the world but unleashes Juno to take over the world, or let the Sun destroy the world because Minerva says that'd be better than having Juno take over. Alright, I can live with that so far. So he touches the sphere, saves the world, and he "dies" apparently. Then Juno proceeds to say its her turn to play her part. I can also live with that. Let Desmond die because his story is over. BUT:

1. how the hell can they go on from here as a series. New protagonist most likely, but doing what? How are you supposed to take on a God/spirit/whatever Juno is?

2. What role did the Templars really have at the end? I felt like they were the enemy the whole time, but actually it's Juno apparently.

3. They didn't address anything about how similar the freemason logo looks like the Assassins logo. Are they the same group?

Just too many unanswered questions for me. Wondering now if the next game will be AC4, or AC: Some other title.

I'm currently holding the opinion that Desmond is dead.

The controls are growing on me. It was just a matter of learning an entirely new system. I like the animations inherent with the fighting.
