I personally think the 'karma' thing is stupid, especially when you don't tell who gave you the props or not. If you want to give people props or negatives, it should be registered so at least the person receiving the thumbs up or thumbs down knows who did it, and to which particular post.

I know it's for fun, but it's silly and extremely pointless. Why not make it have a little purpose?

My question is how do we get rid of Hinrich without taking 9 million in salary back? Is it even possible?

We'd have to trade him to a team under the cap, or with an appropriately sized trade exception (although I don't think any team currently has one).

There aren't going to be many teams under the cap this year, so trading Hinrich without taking back salary is pretty unlikely.

Ok that's what I thought but I wasn't sure if you could even do that, yah I don't see anyone doing that for Hinrich even if they did have space unless they are close to competing for the chip. Not with 2010 coming up.

I think the biggest problem is that the three teams likely to have enough space are the Grizzlies, Thunder and Pistons. I wouldn't be surprised to see both the Grizzlies and Thunder not spending their money purely to save cash in this economy.

Ya Manic, and your already telling the person you agree or disagree what is that like an exclamation that I really think you are wrong or I really agree with you? Oh well they seem to get a kick out of it.

Yah I don't see OKC or Memphis doing that becasue they aren't close to competing yet for their conference. I think that it would have to be a team like Portland (who obviously can't do it). Detroit maybe but I think they would rather have Gordon too, lol.

Scoop Jackson said it best, just because Gordon leaves doesn't mean Salmons is going to be the guy. Salmons only performs when he's the second or third guy. Scoop has followed him since his AAU days with him and Kobe in Philly. Remember, we saw this when he played alongside Iverson. I'm optimistic going into next season without our best scorer. Especially when we have to depend on a second year phenom rookie that doesn't want to be the guy yet and score 20 ppg. Then you have Salmons whom is only great when he's not the number one options. You have to take his age into factor and Deng is coming off injury. Plus, I don't know if Deng knows how to play with Rose yet.

Rose has to be ready to be the guy, baptism by fire. When Salmons played with Iverson, he wasn't half the player he is now. He has shown over the second half of the season that he can score. I don't understand why no one is worried about the defense. That is the problem. VDN is using variations of D'Antoni's system. The Bulls will score. They scored in the playoffs without Gordon, and sometimes, despite Gordon. Teams have traded away their top scorer before. Again, I point to Adrian Dantley. Its about what the offense will run and who best fits that system.

I like Rose and Salmons starting with Gordon coming off the bench if possible. I do like the fact that Hinrich is an insurance policy in case Gordon does not sign.

The defense sucks. Vinny needs to hire a specialist to come in and touch that topic with the guys. We basically made it into the playoffs by Guard offensive play and Ty.Thomas vertically challenging players with his shot-blocking. Shout out to T-Time for blocking seven shots - crucial blocks too - in a Pacers game this season.
