Same lines as Sunday
Understatement. Our aim is so bad they couldn't hit the ground with their own streams of piss.Faster skaters, far better passers and better puck contol.....I mean it's not a big secret why the Avs dominate the Hawks.
After that goal....I realised that I missed one.
Better shooters
Refs botched it. Nothing new there. I'm just glad they acted like a team for once and killed off the penalty. How did Gus get the only panalty!?

I'm fine with the avs coach keeping a guy off the ice when we have out "heavy" out there. That;'s part of the idea of deterrance.Seems like the avs coach pussed out and kept that little billy badass off the ice when Gilbert was on the rest of the game.
NHL wants to make the rivalries what they choose with these stupid back to backs, then its time for Gilbert to take a run at Mckinnon if he cant get his hands on the little badass that cheap shotted cat.
What a game by Gilbert though, there was one of the what seemed like two minute in the zone nightmares where I think Eddie and that play by play guy only mentioned Gilberts name. One side to the other, chased a puck to the blue line, got back to the net, where did this guy come from?

That being said I agree, I'm liking what I'm seeing from Gilbert. Easily a 5-6 on this squad and doesn't make too many defensive errors--and noticeable in the positive. Now if we could only ensure he stays up with the club once everyone is healthy.
Be Bowman's guy?And he's good on the PK too.
But what has Nylander done to earn PP minutes?
Be Bowman's guy?
Stan's going to give him every opportunity to succeed no matter how much he fails.

IMHO Gus shouldn't be dealt because we can't afford him with Maata/DeHaan. He should be dealt because he's a 1-dimensional D-man that lost most of his Offensive-edge. Given Seabs (and Keith somewhat although Keith has been performing decently this year defensively) locking the lineup there's little room for a guy who brings nothing but questionable PP skills.Gilbert was on the penalty kill too. We figure Bovquist is in line to quarterback the PP1 unit when Gus gets dealt since we wont be able to afford him with this choice of DeHaan and Maata, (unless they piss both Keith and Seabs to waive their NMC with Crow).
Its time to get back to putting the d man willing to hit someone out on the ice when Kane, Toews or Cat is on the ice. Cant come off the bench to fight anyone. Its either that or you hit Cat, we wipe one of your guys out.
I got a feeling Gilbert will be dropping that dude hard in Colorado.
