But that is just it about this streak. They aren't just blowing the doors off of everyone. They are finding ways to win in tough situations as the tired team with a lot of injuries coming from behind to take this one in regulation. This is more than just fun.

Wow, what a streak. Nice to get the win tonight, but I could have done without the loss of two guys. No idea how long either will be out, but Sharp's injury sure looked like a shoulder or collar bone. Shaw likely out with the dreaded UBI, which was definitely a concussion. He looked scrambled when he went back to the bench. I was shocked that they put him back out in the second, not surprised at all that he did not skate in the third. Hope they can get back soon.

3 more home wins to break the franchise home-win-streak record.

That was out of context!!!!

"this team is borderline pathetic" that was in reference to who the Hawks were playing.

We shouldn't be surprised when this team finds a way to snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat ... but this one felt bad for quite a while. Then Toews. Then Carcillo. Boom, 24.

Emery is 10-0-0. Can anyone honestly say that they expected that out of him? Not shabby for a back-up.

Where the hell is Icehog? There should be a small convoy coming south from Rockford shortly....I wonder who's gonna be on it.

I would assume Smith. No idea who else. Pirri perhaps?

On a side note, the Hawks have a goal differential of +32. The other seven teams in the top eight in the west right now have a combined differential of +34. Damn...

Best friggin win of the year . Avs played really tough tonight / really wanted this one - didn't skip one single hit , and made the Hawks work their asses off for this win .

Friday night is going to be more of the same but I'm really proud of the toughness the Hawks showed tonight .

I am assuming that after a phone call from Mr. Shanahan, we will not be seeing Stastny on Friday. I still cannot believe that the officials didn't call anything on that.

I would think that Morin, Hayes or Pirri might get a call up just because of their playing styles, positional needs and previous call ups. Smith is a possibility but just recently came back from injury. Bollig could also get a call back up but I wouldn't expect it. All of this, of course, depends on the severity of injuries to Hossa, Shaw, and Sharp. Also, depends on Frolik getting over (supposedly) the flu.

In terms of Stastny getting a suspension...I wouldn't count on it. I think Shanahan will take a look but would be surprised if anything comes of it.

Looked like a shoulder or collarbone for Sharp, a concussion for Shaw and anybody's guess on Hossa. We're about to find out just exactly how deep this team is.

If an intentional elbow to the head doesn't get a suspension, what the hell does? Now, with the erratic discipline that his office hands out, I will not be shocked either way.
