Great thread. If given the option between the two, I am taking bacon every day of the week and twice on Sundays! Yes, it's more expensive but I'll take the price difference and enjoy it anyway!

You know breakfast casserole is a good way to get a balanced brekkie.

And I find it reheats easily in the microwave without losing anything.

Eggs, cream, bell pepper, breakfast sausage, cheese, casserole dish, oven.

I am really regretting not picking up the above ingredients at the store today.

i do that with cooked tater tots in it. YUM

also with raw hashbrowns, pretty decent as well.

Sausage is way better than bacon as a stand alone breakfast meat. Bacon should be used more as an enhancer. On top of a cheeseburger, bits in a salad, wrapped around a steak or shrimp.
You obviously haven't had my bacon. A perfectly striated meat/fat slice cooked until it is just sightly lighter than ideal color, rested until it darkens to the perfect color and crispiness. When you bite it and it has that crunch without being dry and then that salty flavor melts in your mouth. Mmmmm Mmmm.

Sausage never done that.

I can't even eat bacon from a restaurant, it is always a disappointment.

Just buy pork belly like I do at 3 bucks a lb, get ten lbs, cure and smoke it yourself. Turns it into that bacon that costs 12-18 buck a lb
Now we know who is bringing home the bacon
Or rather, making it at home.
What do you use to properly slice your magic space bacon?
