I've read your post three times and I still don't undertand what you're saying? It's probably me but, ....Huh?

It's not just you.

Let me help. The article says asteroids are parts unused from the creation of the solar system and did not get pulled in to be planets. That's the stuff of fiction not science. Even those that have faith in stellar evolution do not believe asteroids are 4.5 billion years old. Comedic genius.

http://www.space.com/51-asteroids-formation-discovery-and-exploration.html

Asteroids are leftovers from the formation of our solar system about 4.6 billion years ago. Early on, the birth of Jupiter prevented any planetary bodies from forming in the gap between Mars and Jupiter, causing the small objects that were there to collide with each other and fragment into the asteroids seen today.

http://science.nationalgeographic.com/science/space/solar-system/asteroids-comets-article/
Asteroids and comets are considered remnants from the giant cloud of gas and dust that condensed to create the sun, planets, and moons some 4.5 billion years ago.

http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/planetary/text/asteroids.txt
Asteroids are thought to be primordial material
prevented by Jupiter's strong gravity from accreting into a
planet-sized body when the solar system was born 4.6 billion
years ago.

But you know how stupid those guys from National Geographic and NASA are.

I see. Thanks for clarifying for me.

The solar system is evolving; ultimately the Sun will eat almost all of it before it's time is past, including any small rocks whizzing around the other small rocks like the Earth or Mars.

Think of it as a living thing changing and becoming something else from what it was. New craters on the Moon, impacts on Jupitor or little shit blowing up over Russia are all part of it's evolution. Things are coalescing all the time via interaction with other bodies.

The only difference between actual life, as we tend to talk about it, and the bodies of our solar system is a question of available matter (consumption) to reproduce the same effect.

Try the unknown Ort Cloud. :obama:
I'm not sure what your point is when:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oort_cloud#Origin
The Oort cloud is thought to be a remnant of the original protoplanetary disc that formed around the Sun approximately 4.6 billion years ago

In an earlier post, you claimed:
Even those that have faith in stellar evolution do not believe asteroids are 4.5 billion years old.

I posted three links, two of which from NASA and the National Geographic that say comets/asteroids are 4.5-4.6 billion years old. You counter with the Oort Cloud, which itself is 4.6 billion years old.

So again, what is your point?

By the way, everything I've found on the Oort Cloud talk about long-period comets/asteroids, and that those are found past Pluto. From the few articles that I've read, very few make their way towards the inner solar system. When they talk about short-period comets/asteroids they talk about them orbiting around Jupiter and Mars. Again, I can't find anything that doesn't say asteroids aren't approximately 4.6 billion years old.

To be completely accurate, it was all created about 13+ billion years ago in the bang' but this stuff foating around here local/lately was only "recreated" and given a new date of existence when our Sun was born.

If you are up for a lengthy read, I can provide you with a transcript of a scientist, who debunks the Big Bang and evolution.

Fair enough. I did not take that into account, and you're correct.

Thanks broseph, any links are entertained if trusted sources like yourself supply them.

Let me just say, sight unseen, I'm familiar with the holes in both subjects but always willing to evolve. The bang date is clearly off but nobody has the balls to say by how much 'cause it will freak people out. (big numbers tend to hurt and confuse)

(fun research; try to find a single element, of any kind in the known and/or man-made universe, that isn't becoming something else/evolving/adapting based on it's surroundings).

Debunks is a strong word. Can you link to any other (and I will read the one you provided, as well as others) scientist that supports his theory?

My issue with guys like Hovind, is that they come up with their own theory, but it's hard to find others who will agree or expand upon their ideas. The Oort Cloud was first theorized in 1932, and it wasn't until 51(?) when Oort actually calculated it. I'll give you that this lecture you link was from 1998, and there might still be time for others to come forward, but anything else on record?
