Is there a list of "mods" here anywhere?
Not sure. I'm a moderator due to my involvement with IHN (Rink Talk before that) before the merger with CCS. MassHavoc, Ton (who you'll barely see) and I were the absorbed moderators into the Blackhawks boards, which honestly (just like the rest of these forums) should have 0-little moderation.
I barely moderate the Hawks boards, because you nerds ***** if there's moderation or none at all (which I prefer), and it's hard to satisfy a bunch of adult children when they play in a sandbox occasionally littered by turds that they somehow cannot ignore. We all know there will never be a happy medium, but it's difficult for me to ascertain who the trolls (because I choose not to feed them) are and who's for real, but that end of it needs little to no moderation.
This site is much larger than IHN, so I understand the need for more "bodies" to clean up an occasional thread, etc., but I've found that the butthurt is way more apparent on this site, yet I cannot explain why.
As a poster on IHN put it "It's a message board, nothing else."
Get the positives out of it.
And I will have some fun today, my son and his wife are coming to town tonight to spend the holidays with us.
