I was already getting sick of the piped in music. But now there is a three man band playing rock music during the game. Was this the reason my tickets were priced higher this year? Was the band contracted that much to play during breaks in the game? What happened to Frank Pellico? I don't mind the organ music one bit, if it's good enough for Slap Shot...it's good enough for Hawks hockey.

i also heard that they had a live band at the Nashville games...but have since cut them out and went to more organ.

Well, cut the loud crap off that keeps playing the same chord over and over again and put Frank back where he belongs!

Right on sister!

And after the home opener, they played Sweet Home Chicago. FOR 15 MINUTES!!!!. We all love that song( so I have been told we do), but seriously.....15 minutes? They didn't even improvise a little. It was the exact same riffs over and over again.

As a musician, I will give them their due. They are tight, they have talent and so on. If I wanted to see a live band, I would go to a concert. The crowd doesn't get pumped up after the band. I heard more cheering after the douchebag jig asshat.

More organ.

Nashville recently got a bigger organ(hehehehe), and have committed to more organ music. Why is Nahville being more traditional then the Hawks, and Original 6 team? Why are the Hawks not the trend setters, and being the trend follower?

As much as we may not like some of the office staff, I suggest we email them. I will be emailing Blunk.

I am neutral on the band although my seats are at the opposite end of the ice.

I would love more Frank and why not use that space for the drummers every now and then? I miss the drummers.

I didn't mind the drummers back in the 90's when the UC opened.

The Drummers were cool. They ended with Bill Wirtz wanted them to pay for admission into the games. As for the band, you don't like it, email McClown. He loves negative feedback. It's high on his list.

I'm also not sure how "PC" the Drummers would be now. I'm sure there would be negative feedback on them as well. Society being assinine and all. Although I'm not a Native American Indian so could not have an opinion on it either way I suppose.

And the cool part about the drummers is that they were not just "in the space". They popped out all over the UC during rally cries for the team when they were down. It was four guys dressed in Indian Garb with Drums.

That's why humans invented garages-- so that mediocre bands can play in them. I'm sure all three of those guys have talent, but I'd rather hear a CD of the original recording by the original (mostly shitty) band.

Organ-- yes.

Drummers- yes.

Chasman-- you're getting older.

But then you have to buy the rights to play the music instead of some shitty band playing it... haha Cheapo cheapo

Do you think any stadium is paying for those rights? Be serious.

Does that mean every wedding DJ is paying Billy Idol and the rest of them for the rights to use the music for them to make money at an event?

Actually, I think it's a blanket license. It's either by the league, or the venue.

Apples and oranges when talking about comparing to weddings.

I've sat in on a lot of sessions/seminars on licensing music. Tons of red tape.

I would think that the indian outfits would have to go but you could easily have drummers still. Maybe not the same ones but a drumline from somewhere.

Sorry that's what made it cool. Just like the stupid fucking bird. There is an INDIAN on the front of the fucking jersey. Not a BIRD!

Blackhawk-Native American Indian. Sauk to be exact.

Damn they still are there? I was hoping that was just a pre-season thing. I couldn't stand them, and have made fun of Nashville 1,000 times for having a country band, this trio is just embarrassing.

Organ and Drummers. That is all.

notice it says "IN HONOR". How that is a disgrace, similar to NCAA is a fucking joke.

Oh and the band sucks ass. Another dumb fucking thing for the "new fans" to embrace and love.

Yeah, you beat me too it, they most definitely do pay for it.
