The Drummers were cool. They ended with Bill Wirtz wanted them to pay for admission into the games. As for the band, you don't like it, email McClown. He loves negative feedback. It's high on his list.

I'm also not sure how "PC" the Drummers would be now. I'm sure there would be negative feedback on them as well. Society being assinine and all. Although I'm not a Native American Indian so could not have an opinion on it either way I suppose.

And the cool part about the drummers is that they were not just "in the space". They popped out all over the UC during rally cries for the team when they were down. It was four guys dressed in Indian Garb with Drums.

First off the band is dumb, more organ.

As far as the drummers, I'm about the least PC person out there however I really don't like seeing people wearing the headdresses and those kinds of things, in Native cultures those headdresses are earned and are very difficult to get, just doesn't seem right for people to buy them. It's kind of the same feeling I have toward raising the Stanley Cup if you didn't win it which I think I discussed with you after you did it at Kane's party

Imagine that, you want more organ... I bet you can't jam enough organ into that head of yours to satisfy your insatiable need for organ.

Anywho, it's odd that I read you say that second part, knowing how you feel about the UND mascot and logo and such. I'm not saying you are wrong just surprised me to see you have that big of an issue like that, when I feel like the UND stuff can be kind of considered along the same lines with some of their things.

I think you've got it backwards, if anything being at UND has made me have more of an issue. You would never see those headdresses or anyone dressing in any kind of Native wardrobe up here because people have respect for the Sioux people. It's not their fault with the nickname, they've approved of it numerous times. The issue is a bunch of dumbass PC politicians.

I will be emailing Blunk and some other folks. I encourage everyone to do the same.

UPDATE: the wife got a response from Mr. Blunk and a Dave Knickerbocker. We will be meeting with them to voice our concerns. I hope others who have already sent an email get the same response.

I think that's Hypocritical but what ever works for you. If that's the case take the Indian with FEATHERS off the front of the jersey. Did you notice it was named that "in Honor". So if anything I would see it as an honor. Lord knows this country shit on the Native American Peoples over and over and over again. Just go to Blackfoot Montana for an example. You ever read about the Ogala Sioux?

As for the holding the Cup over my head IMO I earned it. Not only had I waited all my life time for my team to win it, but poured hundreds of thousands of dollars to HELP them gain it.. I will never agree with that one.

Mr. Blunk? LOL

My suggestion to you is remember who'm you are meeting with and exactly who'm he works for. Any conversations you've had, which give you insider information, should not be repeated. This means how you know Nashville has more organ. Might just end up back firing on you.

Also remember if any of you, who are going to discuss concerns, resell your tickets on Click Tix they have access. So if you are selling your tickets for twice face value they know. Meaning it can't be all that bad if you are making profit on your tickets. Also if you dump your tickets there are 10000 or so people waiting for your tickets. So ultimately I doubt they really care in the long scheme of things.

Good luck!

Actually, I think it's a blanket license. It's either by the league, or the venue.

Apples and oranges when talking about comparing to weddings.

I've sat in on a lot of sessions/seminars on licensing music. Tons of red tape.

You've got it.

I am well aware of who I am talking to, and know not to say anything or spill info I have been given. I have even more info then I have let loose on here even.

We have sold about 15 games so far, without the clicktix thing. I despise them double, even triple dipping off my back. so far I have sold for double face easily. We have people gladly paying that and more. There is no way the front office doesn't know what they go for on the secondary market.

And there is no way they can convince me that the reason would be more shitty canned music, a live band, and that god damn Sandstorm song.

Wasn't slamming you, rather just making sure you knew they could really care less. They will tell you what you want to hear most likely. Knowing that there are 10000 folks there to replace you at any time.

I also know more than you think apparently. No biggie but make sure if they think you know things you shouldn't there will be repercussions for others....

I have no doubt that it will be lip service. I am counting on it. I am not giving up my tickets.

Didn't think you were slamming me at all, good sir.

I prefer not to hear any music between whistles, but the band doesn't really bother me.

The powerplay song is horrible. It's the same one the Blues use.

Why are we copying off them?
