they don't need a bandwagon as much as they do a competitive team.

Unfortunately, with a competitive team, you will get the bandwagon. Thats true in any sport. As much as it was nice to have my pick of seats at games a few years ago, it is better having the whole place filled.

Yea, it is also something to ***** about and make fun of which can be fun. Really though it'd be cool if they ditched the salary cap and we had pretty much free reign due to our millions of bandwagon fans buying shit.

Wouldn't matter theyd still cry poor man with the "millions" they are still losing. Just like they lied to Jako, they lie to all fans. it's nothing new. Some things might change a little, but many stay exactly the same.

And Jako you said they sucked so they showed them to you 5-6 times more than previously. They had no clue you weren't there to see them "live" Jumbo Tron style...

5 minutes after your meeting..... "hey Joe, these old fans *****, give them more band will ya".... LOL

I wouldn't doubt that. "Hey, you know that fat hairy guy? He doesn't like the band. Have them play a bunch more and see if he will go all Incredible Hulk, then we can get more free press."

I am not saying that you can get away with not having a bandwagon, it's inevitable with winning as has been mentioned. But there is 0 reason to cater to them. If the wait list really is 10 miles long then you will always have a full building. Winning gets the butts in the seats you don't need the gimmicks to keep them there. If a bandwagoner doesn't like the game experience he's replaced with another one and eventually you are filling the seats with people who are there for the right reasons. Then when you suck again you don't have as many people fleeing because you've converted bandwagoners to diehards. All catering to the bandwagoners does is piss off the money that was there before you were good, and will be there when you start sucking again. It should be about the tradition and creating a long term fan-base not giving the easy money what they want while they are hear because they'll be gone tomorrow either way.

Of course, they have to also make up the money for the seats they got rid of in the 200 level and 300 level when they installed bars to cater to those doing business transactions there.

I'm pretty sure they've made up for that through the ticket price increase.

They are a business. What do they care about tradition? Get the money first. It is the rule of business.

Very sweet!

The massive pipe organ inside the Forum is top of the line and all digital. It has five keyboards, 42 ranks of sounds and a sound system with 260 speakers. . To make room for it, more than 500 seats were removed.

"It is old school, but it brings a different fan experience," said Steve Griggs, the Lightning's COO.

Ray has named his instrument "Bertha." She'll be accompanied by pulsing lights and dozens of speakers belting out her songs.
