I wear my knock off to opposing rinks (sometimes at the UC too depending on the night) and I didn't buy 6 of them. No chance in hell I'm risking my authentic in St. Louis or somewhere else.

As far as the obnoxious fans bothering me: They don't, but if I'm sitting right next to them it's harder to enjoy the game because it's distracting. Simple as that.

I would guess that whoever you bought it from had to, ever since they've come out thats the deal I have been offered many times.

Now don't take what I've said about them out of context, I don't stay up at night thinking about them, I just think they look like crap, and people could get an actual jersey for only a little bit more.

Replica's are licensed. What these people are purchasing are sure not.

At the convenient store a couple years ago. I'm wearing my jersey as it's game night and I'm heading down there later in the day. I go in get my smokes and on the way out some guy stops me. Hey, I see your a Hawk fan, I have some cool jerseys in my trunk.. i go back there. The guy literally has over a hundred, green, white, and red jerseys as fake a s a Gucci/coach fake purse, fake Rolex. Hey I've been a fan for ever it's great to see them doing well, want to buy a jersey? 70 bucks. Huh? I know they are only 38 per jersey if you have them shipped from China. Plus free shipping if you order them in 10's or more.

Go **** Yourself asshole. Free enterprise? It's no different with any other trade marked item.

^^^This too.

Really? I find true fans to be far worse than any bandwagon fans at games or out in the streets during playoffs. Some of the people who ruin the games the most are the loud mouth die hard fans that don't know when to shut up or take things to the level of violence to defend the hockey team they cheer for. Maybe it's different in Chicago but here in Vancouver the bandwagoners are pretty timid and polite. Many die hard Canuck fans can be total car wrecks at games and in the streets. Never had a bandwagoner try to run me over or call my girlfriend names at games or try to pick fights. Only the idiot die hards pull that shit off.

I think that depends on where you sit, the age of the fans, and how long they've had their tickets. It's only the assholes that sell their seats, or the people buying those seats, we have problems with. EVER. Then again most of my section, at least rows 2-10 have had their tickets since the stadium or near after.

Never said you had to like it. It's how it bothers some people so much or they over-exaggerate it to the point where they say it takes the enjoyment of watching the game away from them. That I don't understand.

How is it that hard to understand? It's distracting, I went to the game to watch the game, not to watch a bunch of buffoons get drunk.

You can honestly say it consistently is that bad? To where it takes you out of the game? You can honestly say that?

Yeah, I don't care. I spent $40 on it. Like I said, I'm not wearing an authentic $300 jersey to a game in St. Louis or any opposing rink. That's why I bought it.

another story.

When I was a little kid, my parents just being divorced, my mother took me to the Stadium for my first live hockey game. At that point the sweaters were wool. I wanted one sooooooooo fucking bad. I would have given anything for it. ALAS my Mom, being just separated could not afford it, and i knew this. While I was sitting in my seat watching Darryl Sutter score a hat trick my Mom quietly went out and spent, what probably took her three days to make, money on a REAL AUTHENTIC Jersey with no patches. To this day it might be one of the single best presents I've ever received to this day.

I own nothing that's not authentic, minus a few licensed replica's.

Now the NHL and RBK does not make it easy for those to be afforded. And that in a nutshell is truly a shame. So I do understand why soe have them. Hey it's their deal. I think most look like fucking shit.

Yah thats probably a fair also. I have never had problems in the lower bowls in Vancouver. 300 section can be a gong show sometimes. Sometimes. I don't want to say all games or people up there are bad because I have had some great times with good Canuck fans up in the 300 section. Those in the lower bowl don't even talk to be honest..lots just sit on their phones. That's why Rogers arena is so quiet and rather boring. Corporate ticket central. Far worse than the bandwagon fans are the corporate ticket holders.

Guess you'd actually have to really attend a game with one or 5 of them sitting around you to understand what he's saying.

When you do let us all know. Although we already know it's not happening.

if you have ST's and some broker has the seats around you, I'm sure it's a great time having different jagoffs there every game. Standing, telling your teams players off, not knowing what they are watching, being a drunk **** for the sake of it.

You do that in our section, usually the front row since those are always different people, the guy in front of me is likely to come knock out your fucking teeth. And his family has had the seats in from of me since his father was a boy some 55-60 years ago.

Have you ever sat behind a group of people like this before? It's like going to a movie and having some idiot stand up and yell to his friends that he's going to take a piss, go get some drinks, about the chick he banged last night, etc.. etc.. only you pay $100 to do that if you are lucky.

I'd love to sit in the 100 level, probably never have to deal with that, RK has it good haha.

I don't have season tickets, and every game I've been to has been pretty good about that, but if I'm ever right behind fans like that again I'd rather just sit at home and actually watch the game.

There's some people I can't watch the game with at home too. But that's another story. haha

Mine look good. But Im handsome so I can make anything look good including a fig leaf.

I don't think anyone would say the knock offs are as good looking as the real deals. I actually prefer hats anyways over any jerseys. I like displaying hats and being a bald man nothing is better than having something that has real function also. I love my Hawk hats more than any of my jerseys real or fake. To be honest if I hade 300 bucks to by a real jersey or buy a crap load of hats I chose the hats. ALTHOUGH there are a shit load of uuuuuugly Hawk hats out there. Hats are fun because peoples personal tastes and character show through the hats they wear. Plus you get the yearly designs. I prefer the simple design almost minimilist Hawk hats. I hate the over designed ones which seem to be more popular these days. Its becoming frustrating trying to find the simple design hats now but that's kind of fun when you do find them.

Im a nerd.

Honestly I hear a lot of stories just like that. You can't control what the "brokers" they lured in with the Winter Classic, do with their tickets. And unfortunately many of the people that purchase those tickets are not really hockey fans, but there to be part of the scene because it's the happening thing to do.

Variable is right in some form, that it's directly due to it's popularity. Doesn't mean you can't police it. Reason it doesn't happen in 118.

I've never seen it that bad. Never. Not throughout the entire game. A few instances maybe, maaaaaybe. Maybe after a big play or something, a bad call, a missed scoring chance, a whiff, etc, where people might yell something stupid or whatever. But to where it completely ruins my experience watching a hockey game live? Never. Not even close. Maybe I just have good luck, I don't know. But I've never seen it as bad as some people say it is. And that's sitting in the "bad" seats.

Which one? The sweater vintage jersey? Those are easy to find. I thought everyone and their dogs had that one? Or the one from the early 90's with the green Indianhead? That's a pure knock off. Its my road hockey jersey and it doesn't fit anymore but I still wear it.

I'm guessing he hasn't been in many years. Because it's been that way for a long time. There is not ONE time I go out to have a smoke between periods and there isn't someone bitching about idiots acting like assholes around them.

And these are people that are there every game, to enjoy the game. Must be lucky to never have that happen in the 1-2 times in the building. Maybe the 3rd time it will.
