What do you need to suck out of your carpet that a normal vacuum wouldn't work?

the normal vacuum requires more maintenance imo... i had to take the head apart every few months and cut hair from the roller for one.. dog and the ole lady with her long ass hair.....

home vacs always seem to clog quicker and need more cleaning internally.. that dyson or whatever was 500 bucks and its worth about 20 bucks if you dont keep on top of it.. which the fucking wife doesn't do.. if you dont keep the internals and filters spotless... the performance dips a lot imo.. and this leads to subpar cleaning

the shop vac is plug and play.... it is more work using a shop vac when vacuuming.. but it cleans mo better imo...

plus we have more tile n fake wood than carpet..

if i ever add another shopvac to the line.. itll be a backpack version... so i can pretend im a ghostbuster or sumin.. may need to mod the cord though.. they aint long enough... or just use an extension cord..

damn skrat... dual filter inside and a bag (fer non wet jobs) plus me own bs third filter on the exhaust ... if no filters or no bag.. i wouldnt use it inside..

Ductape, WD40, and a Sledgehammer.

Ductape for when it moves but shouldn't.

WD40 for when it doesn't move and should.

Sledgehammer to fix things permanently before you go out and buy a new one.

actually been a great day...been prepping for Florence and have the peace of mind that I am man enough to not have to ask a message board what tools are needed for my home and that I don't need to put a messageboard poster on ignore and feel the need to announce it to everyone.

Slightly disagree here. No matter where I've taught, some of these dudes graduating and going off in the world wouldn't know a monkey wrench from a monkey's ass. At least with doing this online (though there are probably better places to look than here) it saves the person some real embarrassment because of the anonymity.
