Quietly convincing myself that 62 year old Mike McCarthy is the right man for the job, when I really want the Bears to hire Joe Brady because I think Ben Johnson ends up elsewhere.

I’ll be honest it is a bit crazy to let JAMESON WILLIAMS of all people take a hack at playing quarterback in the fourth quarter on such a crucial drive. Like Mr. 15 Yard Penalty himself, who has to be restrained and/or screamed at by Antwaan Randle El most games. It’s definitely a Matt Nagy moment, but I think its a dirty little secret that every “offensive mind” in the NFL has a lil Matt Nagy in them somewhere.

There's this weird thing with some Bears fans where they aren't happy unless they don't get what they want, and as soon as they have a chance to get what they want, they no longer want it. Unless its a coach they see as the next Mike Ditka.

Yeah, that's kind of where I am too now. Even before the massive push by the Raiders, I was looking beyond Johnson a bit just because there were some questions regarding whether Johnson really had the leadership to lead the full team vs being a genius OC.

McCarthy was not in my consideration, I had focused on Joe Brady or Monken if they didn't land Johnson. But there are seemingly a lot of breadcrumbs going to McCarthy right now.
