If he takes the Raiders job, I have to think that they push to sign someone like Darnold as the bridge QB to whatever they try to do long term.
Won’t matter—They’ll lose at least 4-5 divisional games a year. They’ll have to be near-perfect outside of the division just to make the playoffs.

Unless they give him 10 years to lay groundwork to compete with an aging Mahomes & Herbert down the line, BJ ain’t lasting in Vegas. Taking a job in that division is a death sentence.

Simple.

He had one failed trick play and now he's shit

But when the trick plays worked he was a god
The trick play against us to P.Sewel lost them a yard and he was still a god.

In the mod forum planning your ban
If BJ takes the Raiders job, he’ll be back on the market in 3 years. Playing the long game!
Admittedly that was funny. Yeah I see no reason for him to take the raiders job unless he’s just big on playing Blackjack

It wasnt a turnover.

The risk vs. reward on the P sewell was stupid too, but penei at least tucked the ball and ran out of bounds.

Jamo was the absolute worst player, potentially in the entire nfl, to run that play. Guy has zero brane.

I'm still all in on him, hope he either winds up with the Bears or Raiders (makes my local team more interesting). Tough to win when your team allows 45 pts in a playoff game. Should win damn near 100% of the time scoring 31 points in a playoff game.

It’s a bit of a canard to say Bear fans do this. ANY fan base in our situation would be doing the same thing. It’s just human nature…well, American human nature….

Don’t forget the hookers. I can see the headline…BJ takes Vegas Head Job for BJ and BJs. They’ll nickname him BJ3.

Yesterday game should have no bearing

But the reports from 2 weeks ago that he's an introvert, not good in front of a room, not a good communicator, not really an alpha leader.....that should give people concern

He sounds like a McCaskey......and if so, means he'll fit right in a fail miserably within 2 seasons

Right after Flus got fired I mentioned Kingsbury as a great option and CCS said no.

Today? He's the hot new name

They still score what 31 points even with 5 turnovers? Johnson is the top guy still no doubt in my mind.

That defense just finally gave up, way too many injuries and it is not Glenn’s fault. He will take heat for the 12 men on the field as he should but when you have so many new guys playing stuff like this happens.

This should show people you still have to have a decent defense to win. All offense will lose just like all defense will lose. Football 101

He sounds exactly like Tom Brady. Like the same accent and voice.

Bears fans by and large are idiots. Short attention spans mixed with detached reality, acceptance of mediocrity and ‘main character syndrome’ makes being a fan exhausting.

Not saying it’s the case, but if he does end up being a Trestman clone, that would be so friggin’ funny.

Great offensive coach. Zero leadership skills.

You’re right, but as a guy who has lived all over the country, Bears fans are one of the few fanbases who don’t just glizz over their team no matter what. Bears fans will actually shit talk the organization regularly. I’m not sure people realize how rare that is for a professional organization’s die-hard fans.

So yall tell me what’s up with the turnabout on Ben Johnson? Reading threads and now he is no longer coveted? I won’t pretend I’m a Johnson guy however that game wasn’t his fault, that was on Goff goffing the bed in big games like he usually does. Stop flip flopping so damn much
I’ve been clear from the beginning: he’s a too cute Nagy. As far as I’m concerned, NOPE!

It was inevitable. Either the Lions kept winning and Bears fans got tired of waiting for him to become available so he sucks or the Lions lose and then suddenly BJ sucks because they lost.

Don’t need to be Nostradamus to see that one coming.
