That is the one scary one. An improved D again this year will put Fangio in contention again. He's the one coach IMO we can't afford to lose. I'd take Fangio as our HC over Fox versus losing Fangio. He had absolutely nothing to work with last year and still produced far better performance than I deemed imaginable.

fangio is happy because he will eventually become head coach

I am hoping he has a handshake agreement with Bears and Fox that he will take over as Bears HC when Fox decides to retire in the next 2-3 years.

People need to remember that there is a distinct possibility Fangio replaces Fox. Its not like Fox is going to be here forever nor wants to be head coaching forever.

Fangio will be a head coach I think know soon. It took Mike Zimmer longer than its taking Fangio but he has done a great job so far for the Vikings. Fangio will be the same

Fangio is going to become our Dick Lebeau. He will stay on as our defensive coordinator when Jim Harbaugh becomes our next head coach. Either when Fox retires or gets canned.

I could see this. It's possible he outlasts everyone. If Fox and/or Pace get canned it will likely be due to not getting the offense going, rather than defensive failures. Regardless of what happens on the offensive side, it's clear that Fangio is an elite defensive coordinator.
