Bears hiring Shane Waldron as OC

I was good with this hire for similar reasons to the Nagy hire. Guy had options and chose the Bear as much as they chose him. Last time I use that as a guideline.

I didn’t know much about him and thought he would be better than Getsy. Apparently he might be even worse. The only thing I picked up from his time in SEA was his lack of using TEs in the passing game. That has carried over to the Bears. Dont ya think the GM/Coaches would pick up on that too and think he’s not a right fit for a team who has a solid TE?

Lets hope he learned his lesson last week when throwing to Kmet (after ignoring him for 3 1/2s for Everett) became one of the few bright spots in that game.

Unfortunately I don’t think that’s going to be the case. I think that’s who Waldron is.m and that’s how he runs his offense.

I hope you're wrong and he grows like many OCs do in their 2nd or 3rd stints. Unfortunately, many don't as well.

I think Eberflus is a good DC but a bad HC. I would have fired him. Bears seem unable to clean house fully and leave every new era stuck with elements of the previous one. Waldron has been terrible so far, hope he learns from the failures of the first two games.

I hope so too. I just don’t understand why the organization would bring him in after extending Kmet.
