CALEB,CALEB,CALEB, loss, loss, loss it was the defense that made a win possible 1st half- 3fg's in 4 RZ trips, 1 TD in the 2nd half, basically a QB can win a game or two on his own, but it's not a recipe for major success over the course of a full season
You should get down on your knees and thank the football Gods for that win. Eberflus gave that game to you

Although I hate the Packers, a nice loss in GB just might get you to keep your fuckin mouth shut, and quit acting like an amateur.

On one hand, Thomas Brown probably deserves it, and this gives them an opportunity to see what him as a HC looks like.

On the other hand, do you really want to mess with anything around Caleb Williams right now? Maybe it would've been better to let Brown focus on Williams and the offense? We'll see.

if they kept Brown as OC then you run the risk of him not being here next year and then you have a 3rd OC for CW in year 2.
So by making him the HC it gives the chance that everything stays the same for CW if Brown does a really good job as HC in the final games.

Yeah, I would have preferred that they left Brown as the OC and keep him focused on the offense in that manner. He has been up in the booth as well, not on the sideline so that will also be a change.

I said it elsewhere, but sometimes they will make the ST coach the interim as they just have more bandwidth. But, I am guessing the front office just did not see Hightower as the type of person to put in front of the media as even the interim HC?
My biggest concern is Brown having to call the game from the sidelines instead of the booth. The rest should be fine if our DC can scheme. Flus was a bad HC but VG DC outside of crunch time.

Thomas Brown was the only choice. Nobody else on the staff has HC potential. Might as well see what he can do.

I agree on the concern with Brown.

Brown is going to get more HC interviews. This gives him an early taste for how he can run an operation. Definitely in a position to sink or swim now.

My take. What I’m curious about is. Who was the major decision maker in bringing in Brown in the first place. If it was Warren then I think Brown stays as HC no matter what happens in the next 5 games. If it was Poles then I think Brown will have to absolutely prove himself in the next 5 games. AND, if Brown fails. Then I have a hunch Poles is gone as well.
Eberflus has said HE himself was the one who actively “recruited” and hired Brown.

So Brown gets off scot free for the game ending screw up, not even a mention of him? Who took 20 seconds to send in a Play that Caleb is complaining about?
Brown is not responsible for managing the game. I've seen several experience people pointing this out this morning already. He had better been getting the next set of plays ready to be called. Flus let the clock run down.

As for the play call, sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't. There's never been a perfect playcaller in history.

It was the HC responsible. Period.

Plenty of coaches call from the sideline. You can’t be a HC from the booth so if we see some kind of weird fall off in play calling we will know for sure his ceiling is OC.

That’s a win. What we don’t want is to not know out of fear and then Brown goes on to be Tomlin 2.0 but even better because he calls offense.

So we have been cheap with HC since Ditka left and we have gone nowhere since. Bring in a HC with some pedigree and stability. Its just like we have been doing with the OL bargain shopping and the OL still sucks.

You don’t have reading comprehension, understood.
I don't think it's a big deal as they have spotters up there but it does give a better view of D's cheats etc.
Didn't mean to get a Rise out of you, LOL.

Or the lions didn’t take the Bears seriously? This wasn’t their best game and Lions have a lot of injuries to overcome in next few weeks. It was also a short week. Shit happens
a bunch of injuries on defense didn't help, but I don't want to use that as an excuse

I mean the head coach is right there. He should have called timeout. After the sack especially. Brown was probably waiting for the head coach to call time out.
when the nut huggers come out for a certain player or coach, the excuses are never ending
