I’m not too hyped about carter but if Anderson is there I’m taking him. My fav idea though is trading the picks for a haul try to get stacked on talent like Philly. Or trade those picks for more bad players like claypool ?‍♂️
There’s no player in the top 5 that would stop me from trading down for a haul. That’s the route I’d be pursuing

The better play is to upgrade the line in FA. Actual proven talent instead of relying on rookies to protect the franchise. You can still trade back after addressing the line too.
Top quality LT rarely hit the open market. If you draft one of the top LT you have a chance of solidifying that position for the next 5-10 years, the rest of fields career.

Or you can grab a decent one in FA and hope it works out.

The Raiders just won, Bears move up to #3 in the draft.
Bears could easily lose out. Really a perfect situation right now. Couldn’t be playing out any better

How are the 1sr round OL doing at the moment? Recall seeing something where people were bragging about how Jones is outplaying them.

Our best bet is using FA to address the OL. We need known quality plays to improve the OL IMO.

Partly because a bunch of teams have had byes and the Bears haven't though. So bears have 1 more loss currently
Which is good because we already have the loss in hand. Other teams actually have to lose the game.

You are not the only one. Maybe I’ll eat crow on this, but with all the hype he’s getting as the best defensive player in the draft and a top 5 guy, I’m not seeing it. Not when I watch him and certainly not in his numbers which are absurdly pedestrian
Will Anderson is by far the best defensive player in this draft.

This might have been true in preseason through week 3ish but this point the first round LT have vastly outplayed him according to most I believe. Would appreciate some PFF stats or hurries/sacks stats per drop back if you have them.

My favorite teams
  1. Atlanta Braves
  1. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Vegas Golden Knights
  1. Duke Blue Devils
  2. Nebraska Cornhuskers
I 'hope' the Bears can get the 2nd pick since it looks like the 1st pick is probably out of reach. In a perfect world, I'm hoping they trade down from the 2nd pick to whoever ends up at 3 or 4, then trade down again from that pick to pick 6-8. If Poles is able to play it right, could wind up coming out of the draft with several extra 1s or 2s for future years while only moving down 5 or 6 spots overall and still getting a top end talent.

They are actually 9th currently if you just go by a control your own destiny standpoint aka many losses each team has. If all of those teams lose out and go 3-14, the Bears will have the 9th pick because they have by far the hardest SOS. That said, some of those teams play each other so it wouldn’t really be 9th. But my point is if the Bears just win 1 or 2 more games, it’s going to make a huge difference based on the way this is. They could go from 2nd to 9th from 3-14 to 5-12.
