OP is on drugs.
In Lovie's last season, the defense was 3rd in the NFL in points allowed, 5th in the NFL in yards, and in the top in takeaways, arguably the best defense in the entire NFL, and certainly top few.
The starters were as follows:
Israel Idonije
Henry Melton
Stephen Paea
Julius Peppers
Lance Briggs
Brian Urlacher
Nick Roach
Tim Jennings
Charles Tillman
Major Wright
Chris Conte
And Shea McClellin and DJ Moore off bench.
What I here often on here is that Urlacher was a half of himself, Peppers and Tillman were done, and Briggs was a total waste, and Wright and Conte are horrible. But yet the defense was arguably the best in the whole NFL. It actually cracks me up.
That team certainly had some players that were getting older, and some outstanding up and comers. I hear all the time that Conte and Wright suck, then how the hell was our defense so good.
We had a good balance of older and younger players, and also had a couple of special team studs as well like Constanzo and Sherrick McManis. We drafted our kick and punt returners. I am confident that if Lovie and Marinelli remained, we would have never had a bad defense. Melton and Paea would have continued to develop and Conte and Wright would still be our safeties. Back in 2012 it looked like we were set at safety with two guys 25 that were playing brilliantly.
We drafted players, we picked up free agents under Lovie, just like we do now.
Now our special teams absolutely suck though, except Gould, who many here watch to ditch. It actually is comical.
Bears are 4th in the NFL in Passing Yards Allowed per game, 2nd in the NFC only to the Seattle Seahawks.
Now, don't jump all over me like you have been for the last month when I display a true fact. I don't think that they are that good at this, but I don't think that they are that bad either, and the improvement has been quite good on defense, except for the last 2 minutes of games.
Yeah, you are right. Good coaches doesn't mean "jack shit". May as well bring Trestman back until the team is good again, am I right? Do you not run things through your head before you say/type them? Seriously...
Once again, you fail to see the point of the conversation/thread/article. You just blurt whatever pre-recorded gibberish you have set in your head. The OP didn't state anything about an offensive, special teams, defensive, ballboy, etc "miracle turnaround" or performance. But maybe you was just looking for an excuse to go on a nonsensical rant?
and once again you prove that youre a fucking idiot with comprehension skills that are pretty much non existent. but keep on keepin on.

As predicted the same people who looked forward to a rebuild are those whose vaginas are whistling the loudest

There was no one to replace those players when they left. That's the point. That regime was horrible at drafting and developing talent.
Look at Angelo's last five seasons (2007-11). http://www.drafthistory.com/index.php/teams/bears
Conte is playing really well in TB. They're DB coach said he's one of better safeties in league. Problem with Bears fans is they slam the guy as a scapegoat, fact is the whole defense fuckin sucked with turd tucker as DC.

You were lead the slamming Conte charge. wtf are you talking about. DaaBears is referring to you in this post.
What is wrong with that?OP is on drugs.
That is PURE bunk. Lovie played plenty of rookies. Where do you guys get this stuff?
Yes of course there is some improvement, but they are still not very good, they flat out suck at stopping the biggest part of the league, PASSING!!
