Conte is playing really well in TB. They're DB coach said he's one of better safeties in league. Problem with Bears fans is they slam the guy as a scapegoat, fact is the whole defense fuckin sucked with turd tucker as DC.

I am beginning to buy into the theory that desp is a master troll and not actually someone who treats the nfl like as the world turns or guiding light or whatever soap opera people like biff watch on weekday afternoons. I mean, nobody can actually be white knighting for conte at this point who actually watches games and doesn't go nuclear based on headlines, right?

With Cutler playing better white knighting him does not get the reaction that it use to.

Conte will get the reaction.

You don't understand desp and his love for player personalities. If they're cool irl he'll defend em til he dies no matter what.

You should watch the play from last week where Conte gave up the TD to force overtime. It was fucking horrible and classic Conte and gave me flashbacks of when he was with the Bears. To be fair, I haven't really watched him play outside of last week's game, but that play alone made me glad he isn't with the Bears.

9) The Bears need to ... keep on keeping on!
Wait, what? My suggestion for the Bears is to continue forging on? How does this make sense in a "Mr. Fix-It" column? Maybe I'm getting a little slap-happy in the last entry of a "Schein Nine." Or maybe I just think this is a franchise headed in the right direction, contrary to popular opinion entering the season, contrary to conventional wisdom when it comes to a 2-5 team.

I don't think I've ever been so impressed with a bad team. After last season's epic disappointment, Chicago's energy in 2015 has been noteworthy. And as I wrote on Monday, Jay Cutler has re-emerged as a legit quarterback and should be the Bears' guy again next year.

The first half-season under John Fox has been far more positive than most anticipated, despite trades and injuries. Chicago has been competitive, particularly in the last four games. Now, the Bears need to keep it going and carry momentum into next year.

I like your optimism but I just cannot call what they are doing now, "momentum".
