All in all, the #Bears rookie class will only affect the cap by about $3.5M, which should leave around $7M left.

What moves could they make? could there be more trades yet to come? what do you think ?

There are always plenty of good players that get cut this time of year. So it makes sense to have a bit of room. And I havn't looked but I'm sure there's a decent free agent or two still out there as well.

6.2 is the absolute maximum, while the 3.5 is a closer estimate to what we may end up spending.

I would vote for that I would do it now cause if he has a real blockbuster year the bears are going to be looking like the bulls and jimmy buckets ?

I would keep the money and use it to resign guys in Novemeber and have part of their cap hit go on the 2015 cap.

Resign Alshon in Novemeber and put 5 million of his salary on this years cap. I wouldn't resign him now, let it play out a little and see how he does and If he stays healthy.

Both numbers are right.

When you add a guy to the roster, his effect on the cap is his cap number minus the salary of the guy who comes off the bottom of the roster. Generally, the guy that gets removed is making $510,000.

The six new guys have a salary cap hit of $6.2M, but they're replacing around $3M worth of salary cap hit. The numbers don't work out perfectly because some of the late-round selection will be making around $510,000, so it's an even swap with those guys.
