just writing this I hope you had a tear in your eye. It’s so mind bogglingly stupid.
oh really....

would you like to go back and review how many routes that Bears receivers ran that were curls and routes where they just sit down...

or shallow crossing routes....

do you watch the Bears? and then compare them to other teams

For anyone complaining about Fields passing yards, look not further than this stat. This right here is the biggest issue with Matt Nagy's offense and play designs. How often do we see a Bears WR catch the ball on the run or with space to move up field? Almost never. It's always Mooney or AR standing in the middle of the field with their back to the endzone waiting to be pummeled by defenders. Or it's a catch with the WR heading straight out of bounds with no chance to turn it up field. Anyone blaming the lack of yards on Fields is a simpleton.

Add this stat to the lack of separation they get, then boom, explains so much

Pick an offensive passing category and it's pretty safe to say they are dead last. Only the Bears would keep this dogshit coach til the end of the season.

You would need average YAC, not total YAC to get an accurate representation. Of course they’re last in total. They complete like 9 passes a game. Not that I’m saying it will change much. I have no idea. But that stat as is, is somewhat meaningless.

They suck at YAC because their QB isn't accurate enough to place the ball in the correct spot for them to keep running. These guys have to dive on their faces or touch the sky just to catch the ball.

Yac was at its worst week one though

Ehh fields accuracy overall has been fine. He's thrown a bunch of yards that were placed great for YAC, something mitch struggled with.

It's fucked up tho. You watch the niners and they got all their players running wide open. Then you watch us and every WR and TE, on a weekly basis, looks like they are stuck to the defender with velcro. Pathetic. That makes YAC nearly impossible.

It's hard to get open when you're running zone beating concepts against man and man beating concepts against zone.

Also, you get YAC with screens and slants, and the Bears run maybe one of those a game if we're lucky.

I think it is important to point out that usually on at least one of Robinsons 2 or 3 short catches he gets per game include a play where he dives to make the catch, mostly in an attempt to avoid contact with any defenders.

Hogue and Jahns said on their podcast, along with Fishbain, that the Bears lead the league in hitches and static routes by a wide margin.

This offense is literally designed not to get YAC. It's really quite something.

I agreed! Also add in the fact that we never incorporate the RB in the receiving game.

The Bears have the 2nd fewest attempts and completions ahead of only the Saints. And they are the two at the bottom of that list. Can't get YAC if we don't throw the ball much.

This has been going on since Nagy got here. Never see any receiver running wide open, always contested catches.

Play design must suck. Be better off using a playbook from Madden '22 and leave his shit system behind.

Well, people were complaining yesterday that Fields had the same amount of completions as Jimmy, yet 100+ less yards. This is the reason.
That shit's hilarious right there. Jimmy G threw a pass 0 yards that went for 80. The receiver literally did all the work. You would think even a complete and total moron could see that, but...
