Yeah, a bit of an anomaly lol. I haven't watched any Lions game to really offer any explanation. The other top 10 teams are pretty solid offenses.
Product of a lot of check down pass's to Swift, who I think is closed to being in the lead in the NFL for YAC yardage?

For anyone complaining about Fields passing yards, look not further than this stat. This right here is the biggest issue with Matt Nagy's offense and play designs. How often do we see a Bears WR catch the ball on the run or with space to move up field? Almost never. It's always Mooney or AR standing in the middle of the field with their back to the endzone waiting to be pummeled by defenders. Or it's a catch with the WR heading straight out of bounds with no chance to turn it up field. Anyone blaming the lack of yards on Fields is a simpleton.

This is just total yac so it depend on how much s team throws the ball too. YAC per completion would work best to deduce what you're attempting to deduce here sir.

Still, the eye test quite clearly tells me that you're right.

Wish the bears could get one of those incredible YAC plays
Remember they hit that one screen to Tarik Cohen in the Jets game in 2018 and he took it 70 yards to the house?

Lot of good analysis in here.

I also will submit that the Bears don't get a lot of yac because until yesterday, they didn't attack a defense's soft underbelly underneath, and also because the Bears don't know how to run a fucking screen consistently, something the other 31 NFL teams know how to do.

God. The 32nd team is HOU. The NYJ and DET are both ahead of us.

In 2020, we averaged 22.4 ppg. The 22 points we scored vs. SF is our 2nd highest point total of the year so far.
