Man, there ain't no way they hire a defensive coordinator who will be 63 1/2 when next season starts. I'll be a damn Chargers fan for real

Only way I'd be okay with this is if bills mafia gets daboll fired and frasier takes him on as OC/AC.

Could be but the bears already met the #blm quota by not only granting an interview but followed it up by hiring Lovie.

Pass on Frazier

Jim Harbaugh or Rex Ryan boyz . . .

Dont the bills pretty much have the best defense in the NFL?

He's not a bad candidate, its just you don't want a freaking dinosaur who coaches defense.

The espn article mentioned maybe Ken Dorsey for OC. Honestly it makes sense. Experience as a HC. Check. Really good at defense. Check. Ex Bear. Check. Young former QB OC to help Fields and maybe groom for the HC position in a few years. Check.

See, years of being a Bears fan has allowed me to talk myself into anything!

I mentioned him as a possible candidate in a thread here the other day. He would not be my first choice… or even my second choice for that matter…. but the man can coach football and players respect him. We could do worse.

I seriously doubt we hire him but if he ever gets strong consideration, the primary conversation I would be having with him would center around his plans for OC and how he plans to turn around this woeful Bear offense. He would have the D on lock. O would be my first, last and damn near only focus with him.

Last point — history has shown that most of the greatest Head Coaches to ever coach football were defensive minded coaches first and foremost. From Belichick on down…
