I would like a trade up for a player with star power at a position of need. Graham or Carter, should either slip to 5 or 6, is pretty much the total list for me on this one.
No! As someone who is bias towards defensive linemen I do and have believed that Abdul Carter is the best player in this class, yet I would not trade up for him. Even if he fell to 7 or 8 I wouldn't do it. Just to move up even 2 spots in the top 10 is going to be costly.
The main strength of this class is its quantity of very good players on the backside of round 1 to the top of round 3.
If anything I would move back from 10 if possible. If not possible then take BPA at 10 and then trade back from 39 or 41 to the bottom half of round 2.
Players like Egbuka who I think is going to be a pro bowl talent yet is projected at the bottom third of round one. Same with Walter Nolen who is going to consistently give someone 6 to 8 sacks, 14 or 15 TFLs, 2 FFs and a fumble recovery from the interior by his second season, he's going to go later than he should.
JT Tuimoloau is going to be a pile driver at the pro level and he looks like an ideal fit for Dennis Allen. He is going to be a difference maker that may very well be on the board atop round 2. Jack Sawyer is going to be a solid player in the same area, though I definitely believe that JT Tuimoloau has more upside than Sawyer.
Josh Conerly Jr is a young LEFT TACKLE prospect that probably should have played one more year in college, but has a very good shot to be on the board atop round 2. All Conerly needs is a year to get stronger, everything else is there with Conerly.
There's too many very good roster fillers atop day 2 to pass up on for one pass rusher that isnt going to get this team over the hump.
