So after Howard spends the year inactive and ineffective here, some team is going to give him a big enough deal to warrant a 2021 comp pick? If they kept him at best he's get a 1 year prove it deal and no comp pick. He's has no value. He is gone. Move on. Nagy knows what he wants out of his players.

Again not sure why we assume he would be ineffective as if Nagy learned nothing from the 2nd half of the season when he leaned on Howard and he had some of his best games.

Not sure how you arrived at such a bullshit number.

We were always drafting a RB.

Cohen got 100 carries last year. You think his role will expand, so do I.

Mike Davis will get at least 100 carries, the rookie will at least get a 100 carries.

You have like 0 carries left for jordan howard.

And changed his offense completely from what it was the first few weeks of the season.

Ahh, the good ol remy debate of changing our offense to fit a shitty 1 dimensional back.

but jordan howard isn't going to be the main back their so you don't how he season going to go

Hence why I said "IF" We don't know how well he will play next year so you can't claim he won't be the main back. The difference is I said "IF" while you acting like his not being the main back is a guarantee which is absurd.

You are making a lot of assumptions including that we would have drafted a rookie and that said rookie would be good enough to make the team or much less get carries. I would think the amount of carries would be dependant on how well they perform. If Howard played more like the Minny game then he would get more carries.

No, see the thing is buddy, last year they had no options at RB and were forced to cater to Jordans shitty skillset.

This year they have options, they dont have to march that shitty skillset out to hinder the offense.

I'm not making assumptions at all, we have met with plenty of backs now and had private workouts. The writings been on the wall to draft a RB for weeks now.

Why would howard want to stay on a team where he gets half the carries he's been averaging the rest of his career. Even if we had kept him, and not drafted a RB, he'd still not get 200 carries because of Mike Davis.

So any news on what RB we like in the draft or who we might pick up or are we relying on Cohen to run north and not out of bounds?

So your argument is that Nagy would have made Howard the feature back in the offense if they didn't trade him, but was totally okay with trading him away for 6th round pick? What are you even talking about?

He did not change it completely. He simply ran more zone. I am really confused by you caring more about how much zone we ran as opposed to the fact we dominated a good team. I don't give a **** what we run if we win convincingly. You think Bellichek runs the same offense all the time?

Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy had a private workout with Mike Weber of Ohio State.

My guess is him.

And yet a coach running a similar offense apparently thinks he can use that shitty skillset. This is where your argument just gets stupid. If the skillset was that shitty he wouldn't have helped us dominate the Vikings with it.

Bears have been meeting with lots of HBs...they've had private meetings with Miles Sanders, Mike Weber, Trayveon Williams, Alex Mattison and Devin Singletary. They've met with numerous others at the Senior Bowl and combine.

No my argument is none of us knows what would have happened. Mike Davis could have disappointed. Cohen could get banged up. Howard could look rejuvenated. Just assuming he would suck is stupid. It is a new year.

Yes, yes he did. Watch the games sometimes. The first few weeks our offense was completely different than the last few weeks. Since I know you don't watch the games go check out the QB passing charts on nfl stats. The offense was filled with more screens, misdirections, and RPO's before that late season stretch by howard.

Yes it worked, but it isn't the offense nagy wants to run. Thats why howard is gone. I told you this shit would happen and your stupid response was always to just simply run more zone blocking for howard and linking a 6 week sample size article from 2017.

And marching out a guy who averaged 3.7YPC for you last year is plain stupid as well.

Are there folks out there who dont think offenses change? Howard can be used effectively but to me Nagy kind of just gave up on him

Progressively gotten worse every year in the league. So no.

He hasn't gotten worse...circumstances for Howard has but his ability is still there. You are just acting like some emotional fruitcake
