List them.

My favorite is Old Fashioned Doughnut in the Roseland neighborhood. Been there a few times and still the best doughnuts I've had around Chicago.

Oak Park Bakery is also a good one.

In Michigan the go to place is holy moly or donut bar. The custom donut thing is big. I haven’t had it if I’m cheating on dieting it won’t be for a donut

I worked with a Jarosch, he used to bring in wedding cakes that were not picked up over the weekend. Monday morning and, we would have a giant ornate wedding cake on the conference room table, the cake was meant for 300 people so we announced on the PA, cake in the electronics meeting room. It was quite a scene, hundreds of people standing around our department eating wedding cake at 8AM on a Monday.

Keans Bakery in Itasca https://www.yelp.com/biz/keans-bakery-itasca Real bakery croissants with chocolate fudge drizzled over them. This place has been on my way to work for years.

Closer to home, Sauer's Bakery in Carol stream. https://www.yelp.com/biz/sauers-bakery-carol-stream The doughnuts are very good, but the best things in the place are the pastries, more specifically the Black Forest Tort/Cake, chocolate and cherries, what can I tell you.

Pastries here.

Doughnuts and cookies here.

Also the best rye bread I have ever tasted.

Keans wins on doughnuts, Saure's for pastries and bread.

Alright, I cut through there to get from Irving to Thorndale, I always want to steal the little neighborhood street sign for Rush St. and Division St.. Very cool neighborhood.

At a place I worked in the '90's you were supposed to bring in 3 doz doughnuts on your birthday, everybody brought in Crispy Creme or Dunkin, and that was fine. I brought in Keans and their heads exploded. From then on I was the designated doughnut guy, everybody would give me money and I would bring in Keans, when I walked into Keans it was like Norm walking into Cheers, they loved me.

Fucking salesmen, empty suits, we always told them to be quiet while the engineers talk. They had one job, pay for the meal. The smart people would make the deal, the empty suit would smile and use the credit card. These days I'm seeing more and more of just sales engineers only going on calls, guys with actual engineering degrees that know what they are talking about. It's about time American industry has figured out that guys like ommy are completely unnecessary, I'm not sure ommy, but I don't think your job even exists anymore.

Can you imagine, a salesman with "career aspirations", tagging along with guys that actually got patents for creating things. Your entire career is as obsolete as your ideas.

I think HHM has developed an algorithm that informs him when I post, either that or he constantly hits F5...either way it's pretty sad.
