Thick sliced brazed ham and turkey, deli-style pepperoni, fried egg, baby spinach, sautéed onions, banana peppers, dill relish, habanero salsa, pepperjack cheese on an onion-dusted brioche.

That is a straight stoner creation!

Best sandwich I ever had.

Outside butter grilled soft pumpernickel, smoked liver sausage, hot kiska, sliced tomato, beer salami, munster, mayonnaise, sliced dill pickles.

I used to get it at this german-town deli when I lived in Milwaukee. When I moved back to chicago, I made the same thing at home, but with better kiska and smoked liver sausage. I do miss the lunch meats in Milwaukee. Huge upgrade over anywhere else I have ever been.

Liver and blood sausage sandwich. I would eat that.

Anyone ever eat Kishka?..Its a Polish sausage made with barley and soaked in ducks blood, or pigs blood...I know it sounds gross, but man is it good!..

My 3 Best Sandwiches:

1) Cochinita Pibil at Tortas Frontera by Rick Bayless - This is at O'hare. These sandwiches are mouth watering and you can get a delicious margarita to go with it.

2) Jerk Chicken Sandwich at Cafecito in Chicago. Delicious cuban sandwiches.

3) Halibut Fish Sandwich at Portillos

I was going to start a new thread, but found this one and figured I'd bump it because I fucking love sandwiches.

There are so many good ones. In the last week or two I've eaten:

- Banh mi
- Cheesesteak
- Italian
- Reuben
- Choripan
- Torta
- Cuban

Of course many more amazing options outside of these like Italian beefs, BLTs, blackened grouper, etc.

What's your favorite?

I feel like we need a poll.

Geez. I need to give this some thought and come back. So many amazing sandwiches, so little time.
Damn took you over 10 years to put a list together!!

Tampa Cuban is one of my faves and a Monte Cristo is another

Was never a big fan of the guy, but I happened to be in Vietnam the day after Anthony Bordain killed himself. I ate at the Banh Mi that he raved about and it's pretty high on my list of all time sandwiches. I made a social media post of, "More Banh Mi for Me," which went over everyone's head and that was disappointing.

I'm not sure if CCS considers shawarma to be a sandwich or a taco, but that would also be high on my list.

I forgot about this thread. Lol.

I do love a Tampa Cuban, but I normally go with the non salami version. I've got a great cuban sandwich spot right down the road and dude has like 30 variations of it...but I almost always go for the "standard".

The Monte Cristo is also amazing. Especially with some raspberry preserves...but I can only eat half of one until it's too much.

That's pretty dark, coming from a Bordain fan.

And shawarma is most definitely a sandwich IMO. I guess you could make the argument for a taco, or a burrito...but that's just splitting hairs.

Bourdain has an excellent mortadella and provolone sandwich that he makes on a skillet that is amazing.

It most certainly was. I was braced myself for the backlash and then nothing happened.

It was food.
