I do love a Tampa Cuban, but I normally go with the non salami version. I've got a great cuban sandwich spot right down the road and dude has like 30 variations of it...but I almost always go for the "standard".
The Monte Cristo is also amazing. Especially with some raspberry preserves...but I can only eat half of one until it's too much.
At Planet Sub in STL I had a sandwich that was pastrami, sauerkraut, pepperjack, and dijon.Hot pastrami with pepper cheese and more.

They have pretty great cheeseburger sandwiches at Au Cheval in Chi city... I would highly recommend getting one sometime in your life.Anyone ever had a gyro?
