Bird Problem

There is a female Cardinal hanging around my house that has a love affair with the outside door mirror on my truck...Every morning I have to go out there and clean the bird shit off the side of the truck because sweetums sits on the mirror and relieves herself several times.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you correct it?..I'd prefer some sort of deterrent

I would shoot the offending individual myself, but I will most certainly damage my new truck in the process.. The mirrors are over 1K a piece
