#2 is what happened with Nagy. Some dumb moves like the Nick Foles trade were done in hopes of saving his job for one season, and it wound up hurting the current and future rosters.

Which they were unable to do last year, so yes it mattered.

And of course, the closer a team gets to contention the more appealing they will become to free agents. The Bears roster today is far better than it was one year ago.
That’s why DreMont Jones didn’t come here. Said he wanted to win right away. He then chose a team with Geno Smithv as their QB lol.

I am good with taking a few days. It gives them time to collaborate and figure out the "whys".

Did the Bears even offer him?

He's not a very good player esp for that contract.

This is the absolute worst case scenario.

So of course it will happen.
The only way I see Cousins is if they completely dump Fields and take a QB with #1 to sit for a year. That also makes paying Cousins a long deal demand unfavorable so I'm thinking it won't happen. If they like a later prospect to sit for 2 and Cousins will do a 3 which is a very unlikely scenario...

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Indiana Hoosiers
So, in getting caught up - looks like the Bears won't make any moves on Black Monday, opting to wait.

Going to guess that's because their DEI initiatives said firing a coach on Black Monday would be disrespectful to black people.

Hence why they are going to do it instead on Asian Thursday, because no one gives a **** about the Asians.

Go back to the overpass you crawled out from underneath or do you have any unfunny Native American jokes you care to share?

They have fired the last three coaches and two GMs on Black Monday.

The delay this time could be to see if a certain coach is available before making a move.
They did but new Pres and also a GM that are staying and may prefer a different timetable/method.
