I know he isn't the first 6'7" hockey player to come along but that Swede looks freakishly tall.

That's because he's 6'9".

It's because they have small heads/brains.

I'm only a 6'2" Svensk, but I wear a 7 1/2 hat, so apparently I'm the rare genius.

Belfour/Hasek was not a hindsight deal by any stretch -Hasek was a world class international goalie prior to coming into the Hawks' system. Keenan's system was defense first -but whatever - it doesn't really matter in the context of 2015-16.

While true, Toews and Hossa on the top line has been a pretty steady trend for about two years now, and it's not such a reach to say that Teuvo could hang with them for a while. Sharp was the third part of that equation for a long time.

He has already proved those wrong that said he wouldn't make it out of camp and there were a couple of those people around here in the offseason.

Obviously, but the real question is whether or not Q/Stan want to sit their golden boy.

For all we know TVR sits.

An unrelated point - I don't think Tikhonov was Panarin's centre last season in St Petersburg .... he stats indicated more of a checking forward role -as did his stats with the Russian national team.

On D I would think they go back to the pairings that they used in the Dallas pre-season game with Svedberg in the lineup.

They could go back to those D pairs but it's also interesting how long Daley-TVR will be able to last together if it doesn't improve

I'd be surprised if Rundblad is Q's "golden boy". It has felt for a while now that Bowman may be pushing Rundblad on Q and trying to validate the trade and new two year deal now.
