Wasn't really expecting Mrazek to steal a point, but what can you do?

That's why I'm not too worried overall: Both Mrazek and Stalock are career .909 (below average) tenders. While we can't foresee if either have a banner season for them, in the end everything has a tendency to regress to the mean. Right now, the mean is aside from a small number of skaters overachieving in areas, we plainly suck and do not have a good core of talent. Toews won't be able to keep up his now-24% shooting percentage. Stalock and Mrazek will likely come down to earth: Stalock has only seen 1 season with more than 500SA where he put over a .915 year, and Mrazek only has 2--both goalies only did so over 5 years ago so them performing starter-average or above might be the anomaly, not vice-versa.

Which I don't expect LR or the skaters to tank at all, if the team keeps doing what they're doing and KD doesn't try to improve the lineup, I can see the losses coming. LR might have the guys playing a solid game plan, but without a decent core of talent behind them we'll start losing to teams which do have a decent core of talent and drive behind them. We'll be overmatched until the new talent starts to arrive which might not be for a few seasons out.

DeBrincat has been a complete bust in Ottawa to the point people now say he’s going to be moved at the deadline.

Dach has been a tank for the Habs lately playing with Caulfield and Suzuki. Doesn’t help that Nazar is pretty much done for the year.

Korchinski is at 19 points thru 12 games playing in every situation currently and is developing nicely. His non existent defensive game is suddenly becoming decent. Still a work in progress but at least the kid is working on it.

I’m starting to think the cat trade is a bigger win then the Dach one, but Dach also had his spurts of greatness here until his line mates get sick of him.

Absolutely not. Go the other way. See if you can get them to take Kane.....makes Ottawa better, makes the Cat better and makes the Hawks worse.

Everyone wins.....
Meh. Sure. Not against it but as I said before I'm not against him staying. And I thought cat might be someone to help a rebuild. But most importantly does Ottawa have anything and enough they're willing to give for Kane. If he does go somewhere it's the over the top piece of a cup winning team and a nice return.

He won't get another contract here and letting him walk would be moronic, so he will be dealt eventually. If he's dealt to a Cup contender like you say, you will be surprised on how small the return will be. Cup teams are usually right up against the cap, so all you'd get there would be expiring contracts to fit him in, Hawks picking up some his salary, maybe a couple of picks.....the best return would come from a team that could afford him.

Gotta say no to that one.

This team has to bottom out completely and get Bedard who is McDavid on steroids, and if that’s not possible with St. Louis being so fucking rancid get Fantilli who is maybe a fart below Bedard.

KD needs to sit these guys down and tell them “you guys are playing great, but honestly, none of you guys but Seth is going to be here when this teams going to be competitive again and I’d trade Seth too if that shit bag GM before me pretty much made him untradeable . Who wants to go where?” and accumulate as much draft stock as possible for these next two drafts.

Nazar has already wasted a year of development. Comesso, who’s the goalie of the future, has been “meh” so far in four starts. Here’s two of your core players of the future.

Tallon was getting as many draft picks as possible when he started the rebuild. That’s the only way to build a team outside of lucking into top three picks multiple years in a row and even then it’s a crap shoot. Quantity and luck/great scouting rule in todays nhl. Finding players after the second round that can contribute in the nhl will go a long way then bringing in vets on ridiculous contracts who might be washed up.

If after the deadline this teams still sporting half these guys KD is a fucking amateur.

I was actually going to watch some of this game but all I could stomach of Cohen was about 5 minutes. A bad hockey team is already losing fans, they don't need a dolt like Cohen around annoying the fans that are still hanging in there. I might switch back and just avoid the pre, post and between period stuff.....they should be doing everything they can to attract fans not having a piss poor TV hack driving them away.

What a weird game. Where the **** did Tinordi come from last night. His 2 goals doubled his CAREER total. Over the previous 9 years and 109 games he'd had 2 goals. Crazy time to come alive. I actually stopped watching and they were down 2-1. Crazy comeback. This teams fight bodes well for future teams.

Tinordi is a good player blocked by the depth and dysfunction of Bruins bottom 6.

I watched them a lot last year, he was always reliable and does some good work.
