Honestly though..saad is streaky as hell. Always has been and always will be because he plays with zero consistancy to his game. Two weeks hes a chicken shit player then for a week he will do what he should be doing as a "power forward" ( i still dont believe he is one by a long shot).

Hes over rated. Decent depth guy not a first liner not a future first liner this org needs to stop treating him as such because hes turned into a Little diva prick more so than ever before. Next hossa..blah blah blah...how insulting to hossas career. That shit probably went right to his head now he thinks hes hall of fame material. Team hyped him far too much.

I don't think he's a first-ballot HOF type of guy but I also think he's a helluva lot better than a "decent depth guy."

Hes decent. Until he is more consistent that is all he is. Never said the ability wasnt there but im tired of waiting for it to come forth stronger. This was supposed to be that year.

The talent is there. I've seen flashes of it, numerous times. But like you said, he's too inconsistent.

He's definitely modeled, or at least tried to model his game after Hossa. He can be a real mule on the puck at times, like Hossa, but lately he doesn't even bother to keep his feet moving, let alone backcheck or win a board battle.

And as you've mentioned earlier in this thread, the whole fucking team is playing like that right now. Easy to cherry-pick stats when a guy is slumping. I'm sure I could find a stretch of games for Saad that'll make him look like a top-line guy.

I stand by my statement. Right now we'd play Nashville in the first round. Good thing about that matchup is that we beat Nashville in all four games we've played against them. Also, they've been on a bit of a downward slide lately like we have. However, they're still a great team, and that first round will be a challenge. The Hawks have had a serious problem getting dirty in the corners and winning puck battles, and way, way too many errant passes. That level of play is not going to win a playoff series.

I'm actually an optimist, and I hold high hopes we can make it to the finals this year. Personally, I would LOVE to see a Blackhawks-Rangers series, just like I was hoping for last year. I just don't see it happening if the crap play continues.
