Because he knows to remove himself from the ice when the Hawks need players that can score?

Lol pretty much. At least he removes himself with some passion rather than going to the showers to look at beanie baby collectables like saad

I stand by my statement. Right now we'd play Nashville in the first round. Good thing about that matchup is that we beat Nashville in all four games we've played against them. Also, they've been on a bit of a downward slide lately like we have. However, they're still a great team, and that first round will be a challenge. The Hawks have had a serious problem getting dirty in the corners and winning puck battles, and way, way too many errant passes. That level of play is not going to win a playoff series.

I'm actually an optimist, and I hold high hopes we can make it to the finals this year. Personally, I would LOVE to see a Blackhawks-Rangers series, just like I was hoping for last year. I just don't see it happening if the crap play continues.

Meatball or not, I hope you're right!

Hey, Grimmles, since I'm not watching the game anymore, can you post the play-by-play for me -- complete with color commentary?

This GDT is way too active. Sorry for being back guys.

Hopefully I don't get banned for no reason again.

But I miss Tater and Spunky.

Not a ton there, but I think that's a glimpse of what Timonen can bring. Nice skating and puck control behind the net to set up some chances there.

And as you've mentioned earlier in this thread, the whole fucking team is playing like that right now. Easy to cherry-pick stats when a guy is slumping. I'm sure I could find a stretch of games for Saad that'll make him look like a top-line guy.

Exactly. More reasons for guys like saad to pick up the intensity again and do what makes him successful. He never does well unless he takes his game to the boards. When he plays along the boards and gets involved that way he is fantastic!! So why does he go back to this perimeter shit all the time? Its frustrating.

Fair enough.

Well, so much for the last chance. I can only hope for another bigger earthquake so my cable gets temporarily knocked out.
